This is an absorbing listen with a strong sense of atmosphere and emotion. Paolo Debernardi’s writing keeps the story moving while still giving the characters and themes room to develop. Christopher Pizzey’s narration is a real strength—clear, expressive, and well paced without feeling overdone. His delivery adds personality to the story and makes it easy to stay engaged. A few sections moved more slowly than I expected, but the overall experience remained enjoyable. A compelling audiobook that benefits greatly from its narrator.

Overall, I thought this book was written really well, especially with English not being the author's first language. Yes, there was a couple of places where it didn't make total sense, but I think that was down to the grammar of the English language being different than Italian. And yes, there was a couple of places where punctuation and typeface weren't 100%, but none of it actually affected the story itself.
