Journey with Ambrosia through an evening of fantastical ravishments as the residents of the Nebula celebrate their most sacred of days, Samhain, in this second installment of the Worlds Beyond Scripture series. Can the seductive Regina solve the riddle of the mystifying written words that haunt Ambrosia and echo through his soul, or will the night of thinnest veil propel him further down the spiral of madness to a complete breakdown of his reality? The runes foretell a choice to be made...will it be his star shine, or summer love that wins out these passions to completely hold his heart in her hands? Or might that heart fall into the grip of yet another, more mysterious maiden that may not be so gentle?

Book 2
I started listening to the audiobook 2 as soon as I was done with book 1. Steamy and seductive characters are blended perfectly alongside an active intrigue. Don't let the length deter you from these books, they are well worth it.

Kept me on the edge
I was hooked from book one I had to see if book two was just as intriguing. I must agree that is was just as intriguing. I loved the quirkiness and steam of the characters and storyline. The book is a little long but the narrator definitely knows how to pull you in and take you on a rollercoaster ride of fun and mystery. I received this audio book at my request and I am voluntarily leaving this review of my own volition.

Long Winded
This is book two and I'll warn you now, it is quite long winded. The author has mastered the art of purple prose and he uses it from beginning to end. Amazingly, this is not the end of the story! Will I listen to the next book? Most likely, just to see how it ends but I am truly hoping the author cuts way back on superfluous wording. If this had happened for this book then it probably would have been only five to seven hours instead of eleven. The writing is well done, Byron Fortin has an impressive vocabulary but sometimes one word is better than six for the same thing. The narration is done excellently and it is the narration which had me tolerating the excessive descriptions. John Joseph Rogers keeps the voices the same from book one and really makes this listening experience bearable. Overall, you have to listen to book one before listening to this one and if you liked or could tolerate book one then possibly give this one a chance.
