Summary

This is a modern day take on You've Got Mail with a twist. This laugh-out-loud and heartwarming romantic comedy from best-selling author Meghan Quinn will keep you on the edge of your seat as you fall in love with each and every blind date.

"Good Morning, Malibu. It's another beautiful day on the west coast! I'm Noely Clark, your host. And I'm in the market for love.”

When the publicity team of the new local restaurant Going in Blind begins their search for a hot, local celebrity to promote the wildly popular eatery, they couldn't have found a better person than me. Outgoing? Check. Single? Check. Open to finding love? Check. I signed up immediately. A hopeless romantic with an exceedingly demanding schedule, I've found it impossible to find the man of my dreams so Going in Blind seemed too good to be true! That's until they start setting me up on dates - three very different, very attractive, very distinct blind dates - and only one thing is for certain: I'm in big trouble.

"Good Morning, Malibu. I'm Noely Clark, and I have a choice to make. The question is who will I choose: the suit, the rebel, or the jock."

This audiobook is narrated by Ava Erickson with a special appearance by Aiden Snow.

Such a fun book

This review is going to be short and sweet. I’ve really struggled over this review, I know what you’re thinking (maybe) usually if I struggle it’s because I didn’t connect with the book right?Right! Except, that isn’t the case here, I loved this book so much, but, I don’t want to give anything away and spoil it. It’s so hard to do with a book like this. So short and sweet it will have to be.

Noely Clark is looking for love and thanks to a new restaurant… with a twist, Going in Blind allows clients to be matched and go on blind dates, however, when Noely is matched with three potential dates, The Suit, The Rebel, and The Jock, she has a decision to make. Join Noely as she embarks on her search for love. Who is her perfect match, and will it be love at first sight?

Ok, who has been hiding Meghan Quinn from me? Seriously, this isn’t funny anymore. You have to share the love. Three Blind Dates had me laughing out loud, it was such fun, I need to read… or listen to more from Meghan Quinn because this was such a fun experience. I loved the style and flow of the writing, it had me hooked from the first chapter. The storyline was interesting and kept my attention throughout. The twists were great, and I was kept guessing, even when I had the ‘I know who it is’ thoughts but then something would happen, and I’d think ‘but maybe….’ And then I’d go back to my original thought. It was so good. I love having those types of thoughts and reactions to a book. I really loved the cover, it is eye-catching and gives you an idea of the story. I don’t think it could get any better. The cover has been updated since I first wrote this, and I do still like it a lot, even though I’m partial to the original. The audio cover would have been better with the narrator names…but, that’s just me and my want for knowing who is performing at a glance.

These characters are fantastic. I love them all. Meghan asks readers to pick a team before they start reading, it was tough, but I chose #TeamSuit, because, you know, suits are kinda my kryptonite. Although both the Jock and the Rebel captured my attention, I must say that the Suit held my heart from the beginning. I did swoon over all three of them. I may have suggested she keep them all… what? Nothing wrong with a little sharing of the love. Noely was just awesome, I adore her. She’s funny and a little crazy but in a good way. I wanted her to find her perfect match and get her happily ever after. I so wanna go hang out with her and Dylan, they were a hoot.

If you’ve read anything about the book you’ll know it was inspired by the movie You’ve Got Mail. I hadn’t seen the movie in years but after finishing this book I made my husband trek through the wilderness to retrieve a copy… ok, so that might be a slight exaggeration, he did have to face the junk room to grab my copy though, and I curled up and watched it. Honestly, I forgot how good the movie was and while watching I couldn’t help but think about Three Blind Dates. And, when I finished the audio – guess what I watched?

The majority of this book is from Noely’s point of view, so Ava Erickson is the main narrator and performs the book flawlessly. It was such a joy to listen to it. She really breathed life into each of these characters and gave them each a unique flair that not only made them easily identifiable but also endearing. I love how she conveyed the different feelings the characters were experiencing, especially Noely. Ava is fast becoming one of my top female performers.

Aiden Snow narrates a couple of chapters towards the end, don’t worry I didn’t throw anything this time, I’d already read the book, I was prepared haha. He narrates them so well that it’s enjoyable and totally worth spending a credit on. The characters are fun and that came across in his performance, as well as the uncertainty that the character felt. The production was great with no issues that I noted.

A FAULTLESS LIGHTHEARTED ROMANTIC COMEDY

I loved.. loved.. loved ABSOLUTELY everything about this well-written, heartwarming, sweet love story as the loveable vivacious sassy Morning TV Co-Anchor went on three very different blind dates.. each date had their pros and cons.. but only one of them would eventually claim her heart. The first date was with The Suit.. but, when things went wrong, a date with The Rebel followed and then The Jock. Well, I swooned, drooled and sighed alongside Noely as each introduction, each date and each relationship went spectacularly right then spectacularly wrong despite their chemistry and attraction. Then came the very romantic Mystery Man and his heartfelt messages.. but which of them was looking for a second chance with Noely?.. hummm, well I had my favorite who I was personally rooting for.. and I happy danced when he eventually revealed himself to be the one.

This is a wonderful slow-burn of a delicious love story 99% told by Noely.. it brings butterflies and goosebumps as each of the blind dates unfold. The three men are all charming, sexy, handsome and charismatic, there are good secondary characters and this very entertaining listen has heat, humor, suspense, secrets, romance and a mystery man to unveil. Good narration too.

Worth a credit? OMG YES.. this book is a MUST for every romance lover.. I could not wait to get to the sighworthy romantic big reveal - but, at the same time, I wanted to drip-feed the paragraphs to slowly savor each and every delicious chapter. And the two remaining bachelors get their own books with their own HEA endings.

This book had me completely bewildered...

I can honestly say that dating is rough, especially going on blind dates, relying on the few simple lines from a dating app to tell you who you may or may not be meeting. So, to say I was intrigued and excited to get my hands on this book after reading its description was an understatement!

As Ava Erickson voices Noely Clark, brilliantly, the story conveys all of the various emotions that go along with looking for “The One.” As Noely faced the pitfalls, joys, nerves, and downright hilarity of some of the dating woes, I felt as though I was right along with her.

As a work of fiction, I enjoyed that she was able to meet three fantastic, yet drastically different men, part of me was a bit jealous because of her good fortune.

But, it was her commiserating with her bestie, Dylan that I think I like best about this book. Sure there were hot, swoon worthy moments between Noely and her suitors, but in life when you are out in the dating world, a girl really needs a best friend to stay by her side and download the day to day events with.

With the flirtatious, off the charts chemistry, and tender moments between her and each of her dates, this book had me completely bewildered; asking myself, “why can’t I live in a fictional world of dating?”

Absolutely loved it! A great story!

I could not stop listening to the audiobook Three Blind Dates by Meghan Quinn. I read the book when it first came out and loved it. The audio just blew me away! I loved following Noely Clark’s journey trying to find love. I got totally caught up in her story again in all the best ways!

Noely is ready to find love but has not had the best of luck in finding it. When she learns of a new restaurant, Going In Blind, that sets-up blind dates with your perfect match she decides to give it a shot. But things do not necessarily go as she expects. First her boss at the morning show wants to highlight her journey on the show. Then when she thinks she met a great guy, things do not go as expected.

And so, her journey begins. The suit seems perfect, but his expectations may be too much. The rebel is sexy and steamy but is he ready for something serious? And the jock may be too good to be true. Is his heart truly ready for love? Each man seemed perfect, but who is her true soul mate? Love should not be this hard, right?

I loved Noely. She was sweet, caring, smart and ready to go after what she wants. But things are never easy and her journey, though full of laughs, is not always an easy one. I cheered her every step of the way. Each man had their own amazing qualities and purpose in her life, at the time. The surprising twist at the end had me cheering for both of them and wanting to watch You’ve Got Mail again. Ava Erickson was perfect as Noely and Aiden Snow did an amazing job bringing our true hero to life. I must read/listen!

Happy listening!

A win all the way around.

She's been looking for love in all the wrong places. Will this be the time she finally gets it right? Meghan Quinn has never been afraid to put her humorous side on display. In my opinion that's what makes her characters so endearing. We're all flawed and her stories remind us it's okay to own the imperfections in ourselves. Three Blind Dates is an irresistible look at love from every angle. The good, the bad and the ugly, through the eyes of a successful heroine. Her neuroses are a tad eccentric, but no less lovable. Noely longs for a life to call her own. Away from the spotlight and the celebrity. She craves something real. Quinn warms the heart with hints of wisdom, humorous dialogue and captivating characters. A win all the way around.

A great listen all the way around!

When it comes to romantic comedies, Meghan Quinn is an author that ranks high in my book. She can write slapstick type of stories as well as she does more lighthearted and witty fare, but always--ALWAYS!--with that swoony romance that she's known for. I read and adored her Dating by Numbers series, so when the opportunity to listen to the first full-length audiobook came along, it was a no-brainer. I wanted to see how this story of one woman set up on blind dates with three very different men would pan out on audio, and I was NOT disappointed!

This audiobook had a couple of great combos: Meghan Quinn's fabulously funny writing teamed up with Ava Erickson's and Aiden Snow's spot-on narration; plus the coming together of Erickson's and Snow's voices to create a sense of cohesiveness. I'm not going to say who Noely ultimately chooses--you're going to have to listen to the audiobook to find out, BUT all three guys in the story do end up with their happy endings. Also, all three full-length audiobooks AND the novella-length one are out, so go listen already, peeps! Three Blind Dates easily gets five stars. ♥

Who To Choose?

Noely has found success in her professional life as a co-host of a popular morning show but the same could not be said for her personal life. Between the commitments of the show and the fact that she is easily recognizable finding love is not as easy as appears. She has watched those close to her find the “one” and she wants the same especially since she is not getting any younger.

She decides it is time to stop waiting for her Prince Charming and find him herself and that the new dating app Going In Blind is the answer. She is matched up for three blind dates with three very different men which are The Suit, The Rebel and the Jock. Her experiences on these dates will not only make you laugh but they are something you can relate to. When all is said is done will she choose one of these men but more importantly will they choose her?

I think this may be my favorite book by this author. Not only does it have you laughing out loud it incorporates all the emotional feels as well. You will connect with all three men so the good news is that the two that didn’t end up with Noely will get their own story. The narration was spot on with Noely.
