Linda's book of political poetry, Thoughts in Rhyme from a Contentious Time, includes poems and song parodies written over six years, from the day Donald Trump rode down the escalator to announce his candidacy in 2015 to the final poem, written for the inauguration of Joe Biden on January 20, 2021. This collection includes a variety of rhyming styles and lengths, with narration to explain the events that inspired each poem and parody. To those who downplay the toxicity of those years, Linda hopes her poetry will provide insight into the detrimental effect that Donald Trump's hurtful words and actions had on so many. To those who share her feelings of being abused and bullied, Linda gives those sentiments a voice - sometimes in anger, often with humor - but always in rhyme.
