Sweetpea TV series starring Ella Purnell now on Sky Atlantic!

Everyone’s favourite serial killer is back, and she’s more unpredictable than ever…

Readers LOVE Thorn in My Side

‘Perfect for fans of a snarky narrative’ NetGalley reviewer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

‘I absolutely loved it’ NetGalley reviewer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Sometimes, you can be your own worst enemy…

Rhiannon Lewis thought she finally had it all: thanks to the pandemic she’s had to keep a much lower profile but has found happiness with her fiancé Rafael and his family. For once, she is surrounded by people who love her for who she is (or who they think she is).

After over 800 days without murdering anyone, the woman formerly known as the Sweetpea Killer thinks she might have finally turned over a new leaf.

That is until her soon-to-be sister-in-law has a run in with her abusive ex, and Rhiannon rediscovers her taste for revenge. This time, with a loving family in tow, the stakes are much higher. Wedded bliss and life as a normal person are finally within Rhiannon's reach, but you can never keep a good serial killer down.

Can you?

Excellent narration, fantastic writing. Equal parts gory and hilarious. I hadn’t realised a 4th book had been released so it’s been a few years since I listened to ‘In Bloom’ - luckily it didn’t matter, as soon as I heard the voice of ‘Rhiannon’ I remembered why I’d fallen in love with this series in the first place! Can’t wait for the next instalment. And any other book C.J. Skuse might write for that matter!

Perfect, for the 4th book in a row

I adore the Sweetpea series. Without doubt my number one ever. And Rhiannon’s delicious sarcasm, hilarious life observations and murderous tendencies did not disappoint in her latest car crash life chapter. Can’t wait for number 5.

Perfect marriage of author and narrator

I’ve loved these books ever since Sweetpea came out (I’d already read CJ’s YA books so I knew I’d be a fan) & these are another level of unhinged.
Rhiannon is even more foul mouthed & full of dark thoughts, although she’s been having a dry spell on the murder front for a while.
I wasn’t sure where this book would go after Deadhead which was frankly absurd (but I loved it nonetheless), & I’m pleased we had her out & about & up to her old tricks again.
The last 30minutes was incredibly tense & I’m desperate for the next instalment.
I seriously hope the TV show does these books justice as they are so much fun.
I love this narrator, she’s utterly perfect as Rhiannon!

What a bad seed
