I listened to the 9 short stories and was honestly surprised. As I am new to this genre I wasn’t sure how much I would enjoy it but I was pleasantly surprised. The Voice was so calm yet the words/thoughts/feelings described from the writing were so innocent and yet uncomfortable (in a good way). I loved the feeling at the end of each story, the want for more and trying to figure out what happens next. My favourite story was “Watch Closely”. After listening to this I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next from this Author and Narrator.

This book gave me chills!

The book is a collection of 10 short stories, which range from potential real life events, to ones with a more dystopian feel.
Each story is its own event, while some of them could be connected, to create a bigger window in the character’s life.

Each story really makes you immerse in the psych of the character, double guessing yourself, as they double guess themselves.
For some stories, I truly felt like I was in an horror scene, wanting to scream at the character “don’t open that door!”

The performer is absolutely amazing, and her tone of voice fits the book so perfectly.
I truly enjoyed this book!

I really enjoy short stories but sometimes find I would have liked a bit more from them. These all ended quite abruptly and for example, The Baseline was so interesting and I would have loved a bit more.
I did not relate to any of these women at all. I'm not a trusting person so for example, for story 2, I would have been out of that house so fast!!
Overall, I enjoyed these short stories but I wish there would have been something that made them all connected together.

Regarding the narration, I love S.C. Lando's voice, it is so soothing. I also found that the calmness of her voice made the stories more eerie at times and set me on edge more as if there was nothing wrong with what was happening when I would have screamed and ran out of there so fast!
