Relive six decades of flying helicopters, including an extended tour in Vietnam and the mountains of Afghanistan, with a little Iraq, Kuwait, and National Guard thrown in. This is Minuteman: Two, Three…Go! recounts Wayne Chasson’s times, from the early, young, and dumb days to becoming a more seasoned pilot of Huey and other helicopters in three American wars and the National Guard here at home. From the tragic to the ridiculous, it’s all here in refreshing candor and lifelike detail, and told in the voice of the author. Chasson relives it all for us in this gritty and honest memoir — with humility, humor, and gratitude — as he himself is still trying to figure out how he made it through alive.

I have listened to many audiobooks by Vietnam helicopter pilots. I enjoyed this one because the author is friendly, straightforward and sincere in the way he shares his life story with us. He doesn’t go into all the technical details, but he does do a great job for giving us a sense of a lifetime spent in Rotary aviation. The narrator makes the odd stumble, but it does nothing to detract from the overall enjoyment of this audiobook.

Fantastically interesting and also very funny book. Chasson is a very funny and sympathetic guy, never taking himself very seriously. his personality seems to come out of the pages in great style.

Quote "very well written and generally wholesome memoir" end quote. Narrator makes this listen pleasant and reads with a smile. Would recommend although.

Very sympathic

I bought this book after reading Chicken Hawk, hoping there would be more descriptors of flying etc, it’s a good story, but nowhere as good as Chckenhawk.
This guy also flew Apache’s, why wouldn’t he also talk about that what they were like.
Plus, the guy reading this book stumbles with words so often, it’s a little off putting.

Nice story - not the best.
