repetitive repetitive and repetitive. concept started good... multipersonality special ops/ detective/ assassin in the post nuclear apocalypse... but each fight scene is identical and the narrative just.....gets....boring

I can't get too excited about this book. It was a reasonable listen. Some interesting but clichéd characters. There is rather a lot of repetition. Lots of private jokes for the main character, explaining them away as old world stuff. It sure gets old! As does ending EVERY chapter with the words "this fallen world". Okay. I get it. This Fallen World. Give it up now! It may not bother you, but it irritated the hell out of me.

The narration is very good.

The author has very nearly taken a good book and ruined it.

Ending every chapter “in this fallen world” nearly drove me mad. It wasn’t clever, it nearly ruined the book. Without that stupid moniker…..This is an excellent 5 star listen for me.

Just try and block it out when it’s happening and focus on the excellent parts of this book.

First story is the best, I haven’t looked but I’m hoping there is more in this series.
