Go's too hard into everything's a trope joke makes everything super boring. The only potentially interesting character doesn't do anything. spoiler The first love interest is off screen forced into marriage/what has to be rape that the failed at being interesting character could almost certainly have stopped if she cared. After that I stopped with an hour and a half left because not ok with that stuff. If you are going to right a joke book make it funny or at least light hearted FFS I've liked all your other books so far. So disappointed
