Love is just an elevator ride away . . . Sofia isn’t exactly running away from love, but she has other priorities. Still, she can’t help but notice her new neighbor, Jamie, in the elevator every morning. Her first impression tells her he’s totally type-A and way too serious to be any fun at all. But try as she might, Sofia can’t deny that he’s tall, well-dressed, and handsome - and he smells so good.
What Sofia doesn’t know is that Jamie’s been wondering about her, too. He can’t seem to get her out of his mind - she’s young and gorgeous, but he thinks she might be a little crazy.
Jamie and Sofia quickly learn that first impressions can’t always be trusted, and sometimes opposites really do attract.
Thirty Postcards Away is a fun, sexy, urban tale of friendship, exes, chance meetings, forgiveness . . . and elevators.

A sweet casual chick lit romance
Where does Thirty Postcards Away rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Uuuuugh, probably somewhere in the upper middle region. I think I'd like it as a movie. They did a pretty good job translating it, but a few of the sayings and a few other things just didn't make sense to me. I have a feeling they may be popular/ commen in Spain and elsewhere. Or it may just be me not getting it... They really didn't detract too much though. What really took some getting used to was the point of view of the story. It switched all over the place. If you weren't paying close attention it could get pretty confusing. Although the two different voice narrators helped I think. Otherwise I really did enjoy the story. A very sweet romance with no explicit sex scenes.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
It wasn't too long and I did listen to it in two days.
Any additional comments?
A sweet romantic story, that was just what I needed from coming off a heavy listen. A nice pallet cleanser.

Surprisingly Enjoyable Book
I didn't have great expectations when I started reading this book. I knew nothing about it, beyond that it was a translated book by a Spanish author. I thought the love story was touching and uniquely told. I appreciated the well-developed characters. I got a little frustrated with the thick-headedness of the heroine in the last 1/3 of the book. But she got over it and the postcards redeemed the end.
I thought the narration was very good as well. I really recommend this book and hope I get additional opportunities to read this author's work.
