Summary

Friends don’t let friends séance drunk.

A new paranormal women's fiction romance series from NYT and USAT best-selling author, Michelle M. Pillow!

Vivien Stone lost the love of her life over 20 years ago. Now that she’s in her 40s with a string of meaningless relationships under her belt, she can't help but pine for what might have been. It doesn't help that she's somewhat psychic and can pretty much predict where a relationship is heading before it even starts.

When she and her best friends find a hidden book of séances, Vivien believes it's the perfect opportunity to talk to her lost love. But things don't go as planned and what was meant to be a romantic reunion takes a turn for the bizarre.

Maybe some things (and people) are better left buried in the past, and what she really needs has been standing in front of her all along.

Good stuff!

In the second book about the paranormal lives of the ladies of Freewild Cove,
Lorna, Heather and Vivien continue to hone their psychic skills in contacting and dispatching spirits.

Vivien lost the love of her life to cancer, after only a short time together.
In the following twenty years, nobody has replaced Sam’s place in her heart.
A chilly marriage ending in divorce and numerous hookups encompass her personal life.

Vivien decides to contact Sam in a séance, with the help of Lorna and Heather.
Unfortunately, Dutch courage before the séance causes a problem. Rather than just summoning Sam to communicate, her deepest desire of having him return from the dead is in her heart and mind.

The outcome is rather startling.

A great chapter in the paranormal lives of the ladies of Freewild Cove as they seek closure and the possibility of a future loving relationship.

Good narration.

Girls night is the best… even without alcohol…

Viv had her one great love, and she’d give anything to have him back… Cancer stole him away when they were far too young. Now she’s an adult, with magical powers, discovering she sees the world a little differently than she did 20 years ago, even as part of her is still hung up on her one true love.

Troy has no idea what his neighbor thinks of him… but he certainly knows how interested he is in her. Maybe, if he keeps trying, she’ll notice he’s flirting with her?

This audiobook has a fun sense of humor and wonderful characters. It deals a lot with grief, and the pain we carry within ourselves, as well as both how we remember things, and working to move forward. I love that Viv is so sure she knows what her husband would have wanted… and her bff Heather who has known her since middle school is equally sure he would have wanted something different… because sometimes it really does come down to perspective.

Vivian's story.

This is the second book in the series and it's Vivian's turn to deal with her problems. She lost the love of her life 20 years ago and knows that it's time to deal with his loss. As their powers continue to grow and they learn more about what they are doing, Vivian decides she should call on Sam. But things don't go as planned and she has different intentions than the others do. Meanwhile her ex is trying to con her, there's a new man that she doesn't want to start anything with but can't seem to avoid and Sam doesn't leave like he's supposed to and keeps showing up at the worse times. Fun fast read. I love the women's relationship and the story is fun. I listened to the audio version and I liked the narration. It was nice that the narrator changes voices for the characters so I could keep them straight. Vivian is smart and savvy but is afraid of commitment, except to her friends.

I Am Enjoying This Series

It's the second book in this series and I would recommend either reading or listening to the first book first as this book is a continuation. Heather, Lorna and Vivian are learning how to best use their newfound skills and their personalities continue to develop too along with the use o their abilities.

I enjoyed the first book but this one I found to be more emotional and at times a little heart-wrenching, be warned have a box of tissues to hand whilst listening, I have to say if I'd been reading I would have needed to stop to wipe away my tears as I read Vivian's story.

Vivian was widowed twenty years ago and just can't seem to fully move on since her loss, although she did remarry once, it didn't work out. When a new neighbour catches her eye, she's thrown off balance but is unable to move on without getting closure from her late husband. So, Heather, Lorna and Vivian decide to hold another séance.

The narration of this book by Rebecca Cook is very well done.

Amazing Series!

This is the second book in the Order of Magic Series, a Paranormal Romance Women's Fiction Novel. This Series is amazing! Vivien's story is captivating, and emotional. Lorna and Heather are fantastic supporting characters. The three friends are gifted with psychic abilities. The mystery unfolds at a great pace, and the conclusion is beautiful. Rebecca Cook did a wonderful job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to The Fourth Power, Heather's story, the third book in the Series. If you like Paranormal Romance, and Women's Fiction, this series is definitely for you! I enjoyed it, and I HIGHLY recommend it.

Just as great as the 1st!

This audiobook has fun, excitment, ghosts and even d suspense of the romantic version. It mainly revolves around Vivian's love life. Enter Troy, Vivian's neighbor and the complications ensue, but in a good way. The 3 b.f.f. witches do what they do best and Michelle M Pillow has another wonderful audiobook for us!
I highly recommend!

A brilliant adaptation

Viv lost the love of her life in her early twenties. Believing the family legend that there would be only one great love in her life. She has spent twenty years mourning Sam. But with the arrival of a new neighbour perhaps things will change. This is a very emotional story which I really enjoyed I an of to listen to the next book in this series

Amazing Series

This is Vivian's book. From the first book I had thought Vivian was an uppity snob, maybe I was a bit harsh. I loved the first book, so I hope this book is just as good. I love the three friends, the banter they have is so fun. I wish I had friends like these ladies. This series is another good one by Michelle M. Pillow, one of many. I'm excited to listen to the rest of the series. I highly recommend this series.

Tissues to the Ready

If you liked Second Chance Magic you will love Third Time’s a Charm. This book had me hooked all the way through! Not only did it leave me incredibly hungry with mentions of tacos, burgers and apple pie (to name but a few), it was also so emotional that it had me reaching for the tissues! Thumbs up to Michelle M Pillow and as always, Rebecca Cook’s narration is excellent.

This is the second time I've listened to this book. I've cried both times. I think it's a great story of true love and loss with a happy ending.

Love Vivian's Story

Third Time's a Charm is Vivian's story. As from the first book, Order of Magic, Vivian lost the love of her life 20 years ago. She and Sam were young and in love. In her family, each member's love story is epic. She would do anything to have Sam in her life again.

The problem is that Sam gave her an cryptic message just before he passed away. The question is does Sam wants her dead to join him in the great beyond especially when she, Lorna, and Heather made a mock of things during their seance while drunk. Now they need Heather's ghost grandmother, Julia to makes things right.

I love the title for Vivian's story. She married Sam, who is the love of her life and then married Rex, who turned out to be a jerk. And now with Troy, how is she going to explain about her special abilities and accept her for who and what she is.

I am hook on to this series. Forty-something is now the new 20-something. I am looking to Heather's story.

The narrator, Rebecca Cook is perfect for Vivian's story. Vivian is eccentric and she does speak her mind. Lorna seemed to have a lot more livelihood, now that she realized that she doesn't need an explanation from her dead husband, Glen. The narrator did a excellent job with William and Troy's voice.

I was given this audiobook by the author. I have decided to voluntary write an unbiased review for this book. I was not compensated or influenced in anyway for writing this review.

Loved it

I love the situations these three friends find themselves in. Through thick and thin as most friendships go through, this group of friends are supportive and protective of each other. The audio at times was slow and I had to speed it up a notch, but all in all, I loved the story and the narrator. I look forward to the next book.

Fun series

I’m liking this series, I wasn’t sure I was liking the first book but kept listening and now I’m listening to the whole series. I like that each book is the view of each main character. It’s a fun easy listen.

Third times a charm is charming.

I loved getting to see Vivian's story!
The stuff with Sam was a bit creepy, but I'm glad I pushed through to the end.
Her ex makes me want to kick him, lol. He is a piece of work.
I'm glad we got to hear more about Vivian's past, her current life and get to meet the one person she can't read!

William and Lorna were adorable, I'm so glad we got to see more of them in book 2.
Walking through healing Vivian's heart, has me looking forward to Heather's book with excitement and a little trepidation. This story made you feel, think back on your past relationships, celebrate you have grown and changed, and looked into the future with hope. I feel like Heather's story will take us on an even deeper ride.

If you are a fan of PWF, like I am! You should grab this book today.

I really enjoy Rebecca’s narration of the story and how she helps each of the womens unique character shine through.

emotional and charming

Talk about starting with a bang, I cried in the first chapter, my heart was breaking for Vivien and Sam!
I laughed too, I also was in a state of panic and in suspense over the course of the story. Ms. Pillows sure knows how to keep my attention.... as usual. Loved the story and how the author took a very real feel situation and gave it a magical supernatural element. Vivien finds the closure she needs to start living her life and the bond with her friends deepens even further. She finds her HEA with the hunky neighbour, Troy, who at first I was sure was Sam coming back to her. Troy is who she really needs and gets. YAY
Listening to Ms. Cook giving the characters lives is always an experience and she is definitely on my 'eargasm' list. Her voices are spot on defining the characters and their temperaments, moods. Her passion for the craft is really heard how she tells the story.

Excellent continuation of the series

I really enjoyed all aspects of this audiobook. I expected the story to follow a similar structure as the first book, but the story line was as unique as the heroine. Overall themes were continued, and the three friends grew in their power and knowledge of their new gifts, but this was a fresh plot. I loved seeing the main characters from a different viewpoint. I think this could be read as a stand-alone book, but there is more depth when taken as part of the ongoing story. I am looking forward to the next book.
