About this listen

Designed to match the new look Hercule Poirot series.

Read by Hugh Fraser who plays Captain Hastings in the popular TV series.

Three single girls shared the same London flat. The first worked as a secretary; the second was an artist; the third who came to Poirot for help, disappeared convinced she was a murderer.

Now there were rumours of revolvers, flick-knives and blood stains. But, without hard evidence, it would take all Poirot’s tenacity to establish whether the third girl was guilty innocent or insane…

Narrated brilliantly by Hugh Fraser as always. Slightly unusual style of plot for Poirot. Highly recommended

I remember seeing an adaptation of this story on tv, and was expecting the same tale with some extra details. However it was quite different and much better! The characters are more closely examined, the plot contains more twists and it is a very good listen! On first listening the high pitch voice of Mrs Oliver is a bit irritating, but considering the range of characters voiced by the narrator this is a minor point, especially as by the end you have got used to it, and it seems to suit her character very well.

A Much More Interesting Book than I was Expecting!

A Masterpiece

Hugh Fraser great as usuall about a girl that thinks she may have committed a murder.

As usual Audible spoils this by having Chapters inside of Chapters which makes it hard to navigate if you want to go to a certain chapter. They also spoil the end by practically cutting the end off by the usual Audible hopes you enjoyed this audio at least leave some space from the last word before you say this.
