Here is Trump in action—how he runs his organization and how he runs his life—as he meets the people he needs to meet, chats with family and friends, clashes with enemies, and challenges conventional thinking. But even a maverick plays by rules, and Trump has formulated time-tested guidelines for success. He isolates the common elements in his greatest accomplishments; he shatters myths; he names names, spells out the zeros, and fully reveals the deal-maker's art. And throughout, Trump talks—really talks—about how he does it.

Story
Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki are both concerned. Their concern is that the rich are getting richer, but America is getting poorer. The entitlement mentality is epidemic, creating people who expect their country, employer, or family to take care of them. And like the polar ice caps, the middle class is disappearing. America is becoming a two-class society, and soon you will be either rich or poor. Trump and Kiyosaki want you to be rich.

We're in the middle of an epidemic of average. So-called "normal" people get up every day, go to work, do what's asked of them, leave promptly at five, and return home to sit on the couch and watch TV. Society tells us that this is what it means to lead a balanced life. Don't stress too much or work too hard. Your career isn't everything. But Grant Cardone thinks this preoccupation with balance has really just given an excuse to be mediocre.

Get some steel in your backbone the Trump way!
As you'd expect this is a straight talking, no nonsense listen that is unconventional and in places hilariously ruthless in tone.
This has absolutely zero fluff and ideal for a business owner looking for hints, some steel in their backbone and a kick up the backside. His style takes no prisoners and is backed by up-to-date and relevant anecdotes.
Trump takes no prisoners as he takes you on a journey through some fundamental business behaviors.

Think Above Mediocrity
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I think this book is the perfect book for any young professional who is seeking that motivation, that inspiration and that assurance to push forward and achieve their goals and fulfill their destiny. So yes, I would recommend this book to my friends, in fact I have already.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Think BIG and Kick Ass in Business and Life?
The most memorable moments in this books is where Bill Zanker shared with us that when He is going to a business meeting, He wears an expensive suit and takes $5,000 in his pocket as this provide him with the motivation he needs and put a pep in his step, giving him that air of confidence that He needs to exude at the meeting to conquer any deal.
Which character – as performed by Donald J. Trump and Alan Sklar – was your favourite?
Their weren't any characters in the book, however, I was inspired by Donald Trump himself and how he got gritty and to the point and opened himself up to us, so that we too could feel as though regardless of where we are from, once you Think Big and believe in your destiny and your dreams, you can achieve them.
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Your destiny is within reach, get up and grasp them.
Any additional comments?
Some persons may think this book is pointless, or that Donald Trump was rude and obnoxious, but the truth of the matter is, that sometimes we need people like Donald Trump to wake us up and put us on the right track so that we can stop living in a bubble of our insecurities and short comings and stretch to that place that make our goals attainable... I love this book, it was right after I read this book, I sat and wrote my scholarship letter because I know that I am worth it and I will achieve it because I believe in the power of my destiny.

Great Listen
This is a great listen! Very candid and often harsh description from Donald Trump about what it takes to be financially successful. I agree with much of what is said and thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. You can certainly see why Donald Trump has achieved so much and I found myself warming to his often VERY forceful attitude, so much so that I now actually believe that this is what it takes to be successful. After all, he would know! Not for everyone but I definitely found it very informative, enjoyable and entertaining.

Didn't hear a point
I purchased this book as I've heard Trump speak and thought it would be interesting to hear his take on approaching business. A successfully billionaire, who has left me a few pounds further away from attaining riches!
Sadly what this book seems to be is Trump and Zanker telling the world that they made it BIG over and over again, that they never let people get one over on them, and they don't hesitate to tell someone what they think, no matter how harsh or vindictive the method. They then list anicdotes that sound purely designed to make personal points to the individuals named.
Left me feeling that both of these people are greedy, rude, and fairly narcissistic, and the only reason you would put up with their behaviour would be because they're wealthy.
All the 'advice' in the book is probably is fine when your a billionaire but fairly worthless in your average corporate life - unless being fired quickly is your aim - and I'm sure you can tell everyone where to get off when you have made it yourself. For everyone else on the way to that success I'd suggest passing on this and getting something on Emotional Intelligence it might be more use.
Not worth the time to listen in my opinion, limited worth to anyone in business.

Wish i read this 20 years ago!
A few weeks back i was watching a program about a women who lost her daughter to a senseless crime and what stood out is what the mother said in the end. She said "you teach your kids how to be nice and its this kindness that eventually sent my daughter to her death". this book gives one of the most amazing advice on how to tackle bullies and vicious people who are so rampant in the corporate world or life in general. i highly highly recommend this book. In this book trump tells you real stories which have actually happened to me too. All i can think was i wish i read this book years ago to explain a lot of crazies i saw in my professional life instead of banging my head against the wall wondering why people are so nasty. i know his methods are unconventional but so vital and absolutely true in every word. i will definitely explore the other trump books. Please buy it and you won't regret it (i have 15 years of corporate scars to recommend this).

A peek at Trump's worldview, but left empty
Is there anything you would change about this book?
It is not clear from the book that you are really only getting about 50% of the book from Trump, with the other half "written" by Bill Zanker. Truth be told, I ended up actually enjoying some of the Zanker material more than the Trump material, but that wasn't clear when using my credit.
What did you take away from Think BIG and Kick Ass in Business and Life that you can apply to your work?
If you want to be successful in business, you kinda have to be a dick.
Any additional comments?
On the whole, I don't believe my credit was wasted, it was an interesting look at two men's take on success in business, but for someone looking for a good business book, I would check out Millionaire Mind and Good To Great first before even considering this book.

Get it Now
We all take advice from successful millionaires. But how often can we take an advice from a billionaire? You need to read this book, there is a self-assessment test in the begging. It's important you pass it, because I'm sure most people will fail. Once you read it, unless you are an idiot, you will have what it takes to pass the test.
Also I highly recommend Anthony Robbins 30 day audio program called Personal Power, Time of your life, Art of Influence, and of course, Creating lasting change. Just keep at it, and it takes 30 days to build a habit of learning 15-30 min a day forever.

Interesting and entertaining
This book was easy to follow and motivational. Trump's raw and direct style is fun and interesting. My only negative - the use of the same narrator for both Trump and Zanger - it would have been better to use different voices because it was easy to confuse the story lines. It would have been even better if each author narrated the book themselves.

Excellent book. If the Trump haters didn’t know it was his, they’d read/love it, too.
Excellent book. I don’t read self-help, but this is a worthy exception. I highly recommend it.
