Two incomparable ladies
It's such a joy to have the great Agatha Christie's Miss Marple stories ready by the definitive Marple herself. Joan Hickson is beyond all comparison.

Sorry Joan, Emilia Fox has eclipsed you
This isn’t one of the best Miss Marple’s - all the suspects being interviewed over and over again and the deeply annoying Carrie-Louise character don’t rank alongside classics like A Murder is Announced. Joan Hickson reads the story rather like a granny Reading you a bedtime story. It’s very pleasant but I’ve got used to more characterisation and accents in more recent Audibles. Emilia Fox in particular is very good. One for the faithful I’d say.

I wouldn't say one the best.
This is not one of my favourites to be honest and I truly appreciate it because Joan Hickson is the performer, I worked out who the killer was from the outset from what my grandmother used say was a smokescreen.

They do it with Mirrors
Miss Marple, invited to see a friend she hadn't seen in 25 years, is it going to be a nice peaceful rest or is their something going on at Stoney gates?
