Summary
This is a story about a cabin in a small town, a workaholic New Yorker who hates the holidays, and a hot-nerd local doctor who loves Christmas...and flirting. It starts to snow. There is also a dog.
It’s a short, sweet, hilarious, and steamy Christmas story to enjoy along with your eggnog.
Just kidding.
Nobody enjoys eggnog. Enjoy this with something chocolatey (unless you’re allergic to chocolate).
*This audiobook has duet narration!

So much fun!
This cute little story is so much fun. Love the hit of spice. Just right for a Christmas Ron-Com.

Cute + crude = cringe
“Christ on a Christmas cookie baked by a single straight man!”
Maybe it needs to be December for me to listen to holiday romances, because I definitely tolerate more eyerolls during the holiday season. Then again, I’m not sure I’d have bought this even then. Two folks whose exes both remarried within the last month go from her admitted “creepy old flirting” with tech puns about wet-boards to his ripping off her thong … within hours of their meet-cute.
The audible turnoffs include manic music starting off each chapter, a French-accented epilogue from the dog’s POV, and gushing, cutesy-wootsey talk to the dog. Bah humbug! Also, although I like duet-style narration, it felt like he and she recorded their lines in different studios, and at different times, which made it sound like they were just reading lines instead of having conversations with each other.
This novella left coal in my stocking.

HOT Christmas story...and a perfect dog!
What a wonderful little holiday treat! Although quick, I loved this story of finding your true HEA after heartbreak. The flirtiness between them, and to see it transform into something more was beautiful. The heat between these two was off the charts!
Of course, this story doesn't happen without Agnes. I truly loved her role in this cute story.
Connor Crais and Erin Mallon did a wonderful job narrating.

Fast and fun
One night stand turns into lust and/or love at first sight
Connor Crais and Erin Mallon are epic together. Love the dual narration.

Cute, quick holiday listen
Here we have an independant NYC career gal meets a small town ophthalmologist who keeps lollipops on him in this super cute holiday novella. Jillian is intentionally looking to be snowed in for a few days over Christmas and a friend hooks her up with a vacation rental up in the mountains when her internet goes out and she reaches out to the cabin's owner, Mitchell. Mitchell stops by with Agnes, an adorable Frenchie Jillian falls in love with instantly.
My only complaints are that I wish this book was a little longer so we could get to know these three better, but I went into this knowing how short it was so that's probably my own fault.
Erin Mallon and Connor Craiss bring Jillian and Mitchell (and Agnes!) to life perfectly in this slightly spicier than Hallmark version of finding love in a fake blizzard.
THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU IF: You're looking for a cute, quick, holiday listen and also happen to love dogs.

such a steamy & funny Christmas novella
First off: the title and the meaning behind the title already had me chuckling. There Is Also a Dog will have you laughing with the dialogue between the heroine, Jillian, and her sister and with our hero, Mitchell. There is elements of insta-love in here. The epilogue featuring Agnes, the french bulldog, was adorable. This novella is a great quick holiday read and of course, there is also a dog…
Performance: Connor Crais and Erin Mallon performs this fun novella. They do such a great job that I enjoyed every minute of this 1 hour and 23 minute performance.

Cute story!
Sometimes you just need a short story to break things up. This little book does the trick. It’s sweet, sassy and sexy without anything too involved or contrived. It’s also a good intro to this author who I had never listened to before. So now, I’ll be buying more of her books. Sometimes the sample listens just aren’t enough to get a feel, while investing in a 7 hour read is risk. Great little listen. You won’t be disappointed.

Cute, Silly, Funny & Smexy!
This was a super short but absolutely adorable story!
She hates Christmas, he loves Christmas they find each other under the same roof and sparks fly!
Narrated duet style by Connor Crais and Erin Mallon definitely need more of these two narrating together!

FINALLY! A male & female narration done right!
Ok, this is a horrible story. Actually, there is no story. It’s all just one sex scene.
BUT, for the first time (for me, anyway, and I’ve listed to a lot of dual narrations), the male reads ALL the male voices, and the female ALL the females. No H reading the female role, and vice versa. No two different voices for the same role. Have been wondering for years when audible was going to get it right. And btw, the narrators are great. Erin Mallon, especially, is a favorite of mine.

This audiobook was simply amazing!
I already know I'll listen to this audiobook whenever I'll need something light, sweet and steamy to pick up my mood.
🎄 This book is the best Christmas "movie" with the busy city woman who is forced to spend several days in a cabin in the Catskills and the hot geeky owner.
There's the banter only Kayley knows how to write, there's the texting I can read a full book with only those texting she writes!
There's steam (really hot yummy steam) and there is also a dog 😉
🎧 The narrators are Connor Crais and Erin Mallon.
💚 My love for Connor's voice is a well known fact but just so you know he's really GREAT in this audiobook!
Connor as Mitchell is the exact nerdy cabin and dog owner I imagined 😍
Connor's narration is perfect and he was born to perform kayley's characters.
❤️ I loved Erin narration and I really think she has special talent!
I loved her as Jillian and it was my first time listening to her narrating Kayley's book and it was amazing! I love her narration and I love the chemistry she and Connor had (it was my first time listening to them narrating together).
🎧 And this audiobook was simply amazing! It has everything you want in a Christmas book + extra steamy scenes and a crazy love for a sweet dog
I'm a Kayley Loring fan, a Connor Crais fan and an Erin Mallon fan - and I'm definitely a fan of this audiobook! ❤️

Short Story Holiday RomCom perfection!
Kayley Loring writes my humor. She is the queen of a well timed joke or funny lines. Ones that in a comedy the actor would say to the camera or out the corner of their mouth and create so much character building. I love it! This short story was not short on fun, comedy, steam, and sweetness. It was a perfect Holiday read/listen!
The audio felt made for the narrators, but especially for Erin Mallon. Her timing and the jokes were so perfectly suited for her I couldn’t get enough. Connor Crais was so fantastic as the nerdy doctor. This pairing was so well suited for a duet narration. So glad I waited for the audio for this story!
