Summary

In a world where there’s only one woman for every 12 men, a lottery is the chance for five lucky men to win the prize of a lifetime...her hand in marriage.

Shay...even her name sounds like a sigh.

Shay bringing meals to his cell a few times a week is the only bright spot in the shit show that has become Charlie’s existence after being captured by the enemy. He can’t stop thinking about her. The barest brush of fingertips as she passes him his tray through the slot in the door. How she looks up at him through her eyelashes with those gorgeous, haunting green eyes of hers.

Where did she come from? Who the hell is giving her those bruises on her face? And more importantly, how can Charlie protect her when he himself is locked up like an animal?

But then one day, Shay’s saves him. She breaks him out of prison and says she knows where Charlie’s sister is - the sister Charlie was afraid was dead. As soon as Charlie’s free, he makes a vow. He’ll protect Shay at all costs, even if it means his life.

There’s just one little problem. The township where his sister lives? Turns out they have a law that every woman must marry five men. And his. Sister. Married. Five. Guys.

Even worse? Shay’s the next up for the lottery.

Please note that this audiobook contains some dark elements and covers some sensitive topics. Any listener who feels they shouldn't venture in this apocalyptic world of sometimes harsh realities should please consider before listening.

Enjoyable

I really enjoyed this book, which had a interesting storyline that captured my attention. I often struggle with the narration, not really liking it, but this has good narration. I listened to the whole book in one day, unable to go to bed until finished.

Really good

This one is full of steam and heat. I loved the male characters they all want nothing more than to look after their Partner and I love that possessive side. This series just keeps getting better

Theirs to Pleasure.

Loved listening to the audiobook, I absolutely loved this series so far. It has everything you would want in it. It has action betrayal, anger, passion, lust, love and family. The ratio one female to five men it was a common thing. Loved listening to the audiobook the narrator was very clear and we'll spoken.

Had to Return It

I am SO sorry, but I just couldn't finish this hot mess. The characters are all polar opposing, horrible people. The lead female is a true beotch. I could already see the writer's direction. Same as always. "Even with all the struggles and horrors Shay endured, she remained strong-willed and self-assured." No, she's a b*tch. Other than Charlie, they ALL are, including the less-than-understanding sister. I get that troubled characters make for good stories. But you need to at LEAST give me a reason to care about what happens to them. This book cost me too damn much to spend the next two days listening to people I couldn't care less about. Do better. EARN my money.

ok

Struggled to finish, since the plot got ridiculous at times. Narrator tried but annoyed me at times

Meh

Interesting premise. I found it very difficult to care about any of the main characters(with the exception of Charlie). As much as I love a good reverse harem, this story just felt wrong. Women being forced to marry multiple men is just gross. I know it’s supposed to be consensual, but the circumstances kind of make true consent seem impossible. I also really do not care for the LFC. I’m a little over 2 hours into the story and she just seems like a dick. I understand she’s had a traumatic experience, but the way she treated Charlie in the early moments when he was trying to look out for her was rude. I’m going to try to stick it out for a bit longer because this cost me a credit and I wasn’t able to return it. The narration also leaves much to be desired. There is nothing I find more frustrating than listening to a narrator who sounds like they’re doing a cold reading. I will give props for their attempts to differentiate their character voices. Unfortunately, neither narrator did a good job. I hope this “grows” on me, but I don’t think I’m going to make it through.

I am,not one for reverse harem however I got it from the author and found it was a decent read. Certainly spent some hours on it.

Loved it!

A great sequel to Theirs to Protect! Loved hearing Charlie's story and reunion with his sister Audrey. Loved the twist in his and Shay's story as they become a part of the community of Jacob's well. Hold on to your seat. This one is a bumpy ride.

Stasia Black! This series keeps getting better! I really went through a wide range of emotions listening to this audiobook. Shay frustrated me so much early in the story, however she redeemed herself with her love, honesty and support of her husbands. Ry Forest, and Simona Rose were okay narrators.

THIS BOOK IS NOT CONSENSUAL!! Trigger Warning

Right from the beginning the main character is being coerced into the situation of marrying and having sexual with her five “husbands.” It isn’t by the main guys but by another man but that still doesn’t make it consensual no matter how the main character has to spin it in her own mind in order to go through with it. The facts are that she would not be in this situation if she wasn’t being forced to be. Then her supposed husbands are so obsessed with sex and being led around by their lower extremities that they don’t take the time to get to know the woman they are supposed to be “protecting,” and spending the rest of their lives with. By the time they got to the bdsm part, I couldn’t take it anymore. Jonah knows something is wrong and instead of taking the time to talk and figure it out, he succumbs to his baser urges once again at the expense of the main character. I haven’t even gotten to how much I disliked the main character. Will not be reading or listening to this author again.
