Summary

Only Harry Bosch can uncover LA's darkest secrets in this new gripping thriller from global best seller Michael Connelly. Read by Titus Welliver, star of Bosch.

'What do you want me to do?' Bosch asked again.

'I want you to find someone for me,' Vance said. 'Someone who might not have ever existed.'

Harry Bosch is working as a part-time detective in the town of San Fernando outside of Los Angeles when he gets the invitation to meet with the ageing aviation billionaire Whitney Vance. When he was 18, Vance had a relationship with a Mexican girl called Vibiana Duarte, but soon after becoming pregnant she disappeared.

Now, as he reaches the end of his life, Vance wants to know what happened to Vibiana and whether there is an heir to his vast fortune. And Bosch is the only person he trusts to undertake the assignment.

Harry's aware that with such sums of money involved, this could be a dangerous undertaking - not just for himself but for the person he's looking for - but as he begins to uncover Vibiana's tragic story and finds uncanny links to his own past, he knows he cannot rest until he finds the truth.

Brilliant

Another excellent Bosch story. Titus reading as Bosch brings the story to life, as he does on screen, cementing himself as the man on a mission

I really enjoyed this book and I recommend it

I was so wrapped up in the story that I didn't want it to end. I shall be looking out for other books by the same author and I'm sure they will be just as exciting.

Michael Connelly does it again !!

I listened to this book over two days and would have done it in one if I had been able to ! I like that Harry Bosch's brother also puts in an appearance. The plots twist and turn as one expects from Connelly and the characters are well drawn, as usual. Another good book in the Harry Bosch series !

Brilliant entertainment

A very satisfying unfolding of detective investigation via scraps
of information pieced together to reach an equally satisfying
conclusion.

Another great Bosch story

Again I just love the Bosch series. Enjoy Titus playing the role of Bosch both on Tv and as narrator of these audible books.

Great book and performance

Michael Connelly delivers again: A great, engaging story with two different cases that will keep listeners on edge.

Titus Welliver delivers a great performance again, bringing the different characters to life. Fans of Bosch or just crime stories in general should give this a listen.
