Summary

World-building isn't easy, but creating original depictions of characters, locations, weather, and mood can greatly enhance anyone's writing.

Evocative settings are more effective and compelling when they're visible, auditory, olfactory, and tactile. And character descriptions are much more visual and lifelike when they have unique physical attributes. This valuable reference and descriptive thesaurus offers writers a simplified way to depict vibrant settings and dynamic character descriptions flawlessly. This in-depth guidebook should be kept as a vital reference in every writer's toolbox.

Most Helpful Fiction Writing Book Ever

I have read hundreds of fiction writing books over the past three decades, and listened to dozens on Audible.
As far as actual helpful information presented in an easy to understand manner, this is the best I have ever listened to thus far.
I am in the middle of NaNoWriMo for the fourteenth year, and vow this to be the year that I win. I finally understand that editing is where your words begin to flourish, and that my first draft just needs to get on paper, so to speak.
There is no doubt in my mind that my book will be 1000 times better, once I implement the strategies I learned from this book. Instead of dreading the editing process, I am actually looking forward to it.
I have already listened twice, and about to start the third go-round with this book.
Highly recommended.

This is helpful.

The author covers a broad range of topics within the discipline of writing. She gives examples of poor quality discriminations; then she shows discriminations that draw the reader into the story.

Great tool for the Writer

The author had great information and used an abundant examples, which I always find helpful. The only thing, and it was small, that I found bothersome, was the redundancy of the same points over again. Essentially, while the topics she covered are important, she could have condensed the 'main' point in a few chapters, rather than the many.
