About this listen

This book contains strong language, and adult themes that may not be suitable for everyone.

Jenny sits in the same seat on the same train every week, seeing familiar faces come and go.

Until a chance encounter shatters her world.

Sixteen years ago, Jenny survived a traumatic ordeal that left her best friend, Susie, missing and presumed dead. The world has its theories about what happened to Susie Patterson, and one of those theories points the finger at Jenny.

Now she lives a quiet life, volunteering at a crisis helpline while trying to deal with her own anxiety and the true crime fans obsessed with finding her missing friend. Then, on the way to her usual shift, Jenny is certain she sees Susie sitting in coach D.

But will anyone believe her?

Seeing Susie plunges Jenny back into a nightmare of forgotten memories and haunting fears. As the past claws its way into her present, she must unravel the truth about what happened sixteen years ago.

But the deeper she digs, the more she realises that some secrets are better left buried.

I stopped listening after the first few chapters as it was so repetitive and boring

Repetitive

Enjoyable in the main but my god the rhyme the two girls have and how often it's said is absolutely infuriating.

Good twist but...

I have read (listened) to just about all of Sarah's books and they are all enjoyable and engaging. The Woman in Coach D doesn't disappoint in that sense, I hadn't read the synopsis in advance so the story line came as a surprise to me, but then I also expected a new main theme, which was delivered with the usual well researched details that sometimes shock and at other times makes you think and sometimes 'rewind' to check you've heard something correctly because you can't quite believe what you just heard. Well done, looking forward to the next one.

Usual plethora of twists and turns

Loved this audiobook! A really great story that I didn't want to stop listening to. I really liked the writing style and felt it was an intense psychological thriller. You think you know where the story is going, but it's full of dramatic twists whilst still staying true to essence of the book. Would recommend!

Loved it!

I gave up half way through as I didn't care what happened to the main character, she was annoying and stupid the policeman was weird too!

Not for me

Very average. Started with promise and I was invested but honestly just got quite bored of this book. Not very exciting, no real surprising twists, quite predictable or where there could have been a good twist it just disappointed.
Very repetitive- protagonist says things then it’s just repeated in diary entries or visa versa.
The 123 rhyme is incredibly irritating it’s repeated so many times.
Saw a lot a good reviews about this book- do not feel the same.
I’ve read many good books recently- this one was nowhere near the same par.

Average

A bit far fetched and ridiculous. The twist was also a bit too odd. Kept me entertained though,
