Summary

Mairi Maclean is kidnapped on her wedding day by the enemy of her dead husband. Taken north to the water-surrounded Kisimul Castle, she is held captive in the name of retribution. But The Wolf of Kisimul Castle soon learns Mairi is not a docile pawn in this game of war between neighboring Scots. Nor will she be frightened into walking down the aisle to wed the fierce Highland chief.

Alec MacNeil is set on revenge. When he finds his enemy dead, he takes his wife to replace the one that was murdered. An eye for an eye. A bride for a bride. But Mairi is more tiger than kitten and refuses to bend to his will. Set stubbornly against one another, the passion that flares between them threatens to tear Alec's strategy to shreds.

Contains mature themes.

Omg

The author has outdone herself with this book from the series, I haven't read the 4th one but still the hottest and sweetest story of them all
The wolf has 2 children and often I feel as the author doesn't know how to put the love story of a widowed father and someone else, but this one is so well done that I didn't even notice the story flowing
Also if I could I'd give a bigger rating for the narration because God knows how good he is that I don't even have words to describe
Definitely recommend this book and the others from the series

Ouch, you just kidnapped the wrong woman! ...

Mairi is a woman who is kidnapped on her wedding day, gets thrown in the dungeon and manages to renovate it! Who can really force a woman like that to wed? Alec sure keeps on trying but its just getting steamy between them. Can't imagine her giving in... I know I would! Such a wonderful story. Enjoy! p.s. I love the way women learned about making out in the olden days.

You will go through all the emotions!

This is WAY better than book 1 & 2 in the series. If you thought 1 and 2 were okay - don't give up - this one is so much better. It has a GREAT cast of supporting characters. It is steamier. The story line is more well developed overall.

I laughed, almost cried, smiled, cringed - all the emotions that make for a totally enjoyable listening experience!

Mairi was NOT going to be one of my favorites I thought after book 1 and 2, BUT wow was I wrong! She is great and more dynamic - and Alec....well if he shows up to steal me away.... ;o)

I could listen to this book again!

Fabulous story and narration!

The characters in the story are fabulous. So richly endowed. The story held me captive from chapter 1. But best were the last few chapters. I stayed up late into the night to listen to the end of the story. I highly recommend this book and this narration to you.
