the story kept me gripped, the twists and intrigue was brilliantly executed.
trying not to spoil anything, when will stood around the 12, it was really something!
Onto next book to find out what happenes next!

as the other reviews mention I thought the ending was poor. the narrator seemed to change his voice from the other books too. pity first 4 books were brilliant. I'd still recommend reading it to finish the story if you haven't already

Great series enjoyed all of the books narration was excellent all the way through very tense last book until the end what a rubbish ending so disappointing

An excellent end to the series (so far).
As always with these books. The story is finished but a loose end remains - it could always lead to more books, but if not, we have a conclusion of sorts.
This book didn't let me down. I want to explain, but I can't phrase things without offering spoilers.

Everyone complained so much about the ending that I imagined it must be the worst part of this book, but honestly, I didn’t mind it. I also find the pragmatism in this series refreshing. What did bother me is how toxic Will was right from the start and I found it hard to suspend my disbelief when none of the characters in this series ditched him (other than the two misunderstandings with Tiny). I know all the characters say he’s stupid, but that doesn’t really cover or excuse the creepy spying, obnoxious bragging, irrational behaviour towards his female relatives’ chastity or the general hypocrisy in relation to killing people. Maybe the author wanted me to dislike him and went over the top? Also, it got a bit repetitive when everything kept getting explained over and over. The narrator was good, but it would have been better if he’d pronounced the names the same way he did in the first four books.
