Tasked with using the magic in her blood to keep the lighthouse burning, she needs to prove herself worthy of her family name and her ancestors’ profession. Cornwall, England. 1740.
They say only the brave ride Bridles Lane at night.

Enthralling story but I struggled with the Narrator's voice which felt like she was shouting and giving over emphasis all the time which detracted from the story. Also her mispronunciation of 'gunwhale' was very annoying.

Oh my!
I think the story could be amazing however I have been unable to listen to all of the books. The narrator offers no expression, is bland on monotone. Sometimes this is the case with an audiobook but after a few hours of listening you are able to get past it however, this was not the case for me. Really disappointed.

Great Trilogy with Prequel!
This book has everything mystery, drama, romance, murder with a little witchcraft thrown in. Flora believes her mother who is the town healer is a fake. She wants nothing to do with it. But she soon finds out it is in her blood.
If this book had a different narrator it would have been much better. She read it to you but did not give a performance like some of the other narrators do. Saying this it was tolerable and I still enjoyed the book.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary honest review.

Good Mystery
This was a great story. I can usually look past the narrator, so I didn't have any issues listening to this book. I like the story how Isaac had to pay for his dads mistakes, literally, and tried to find a way out. There were twists and turns throughout the story.
