They'll do anything to save the hotel, except work together . . .

It's Christmas at the Forest Manor Hotel, where the staff and guests are one happy family. Except for Izzy and Lucas - bitter rivals banned from working the same shift, for everyone's sake.

After struggling for years, the hotel may soon have to close its doors forever. But when Izzy returns a guest's lost wedding ring, the reward convinces management this might fix everything. With four rings still sitting in lost property, Izzy and Lucas are forced to work together to try to save the day.

But as their rivalry becomes something much more complicated, Izzy and Lucas start to wonder if there's more at stake here than the hotel's future . . .

The Wake-Up Call is absolute classic Beth O'Leary, a magical combination of beautiful, heartwarming love story with simmering sexual tension that keeps you turning the pages long after your hot chocolate has gone cold. The perfect book to snuggle up with this winter
The Wake-Up Call had me gripped from start to finish. It's packed full of warmth and chemistry and I couldn't put it down!
Beth O'Leary can do no wrong! I've loved each and every one of her books, and The Wake-Up Call is yet another gorgeous, evocative romance. Beth has a gift for creating complicated, tender-hearted characters and dreamy, whimsical settings that you never want to leave behind. Put this on your TBR immediately
Beth O'Leary never misses. The Wake-Up Call bursts with Beth's signature heart, wit, and charm, topped with sizzling enemies to lovers banter. Brimming with palpable warmth and depth of character, this one is for the hopeless romantics in all of us
The Wake-Up Call is just begging to be made into a Hallmark movie (Sarra Manning)
A gorgeously funny 'will they, won't they' premise with a fabulous cast of characters

Beth O'Leary ticks every box in this wonderfully uplifting romance!
A brilliant, cosy romance perfect for readers wanting a bit of early noughties rom-com nostalgia. So sweet and so endearing!
Fizzing with fun, it's a masterclass in romantic comedy
Another showcase of romantic comedy at its best
Witty, clever and full of heart - Beth O'Leary has done it again with The Wake-Up Call. I adored this cast of characters and had so much fun with them. This is escapist fiction executed perfectly, I loved it
This enemies-to-lovers story is full of laughs - and chemistry!
The Wake-Up Call is utter perfection: it's everything I love about romance books in a seductive, funny, big-hearted and masterfully told story
A fiery and fabulous romance, the sparks fly off the page!
This is Beth O'Leary at the height of her powers. Hypnotically good, fresh, fun and moving, with one-liners that made my sides hurt, characters I want to take out to dinner, and one of the best endings I've read in some time. This is not just a great rom com, this is a Beth O'Leary rom com, and in my opinion there is no better writer out there

I loved this and flew through it, staying up way later than someone with 3 year old twins should do..
I really liked that the story continues after the big declaration unlike so many others. It is really lovely to see a little into what happens after this point.
I've been looking forward to another Beth O'Leary book since The No Show and this didn't disappoint. I'm already looking forward to the next.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. My only complaint is that it was finished to quickly!

Loved both characters and love the fact that the narrators for two different people. They speak frustrated me at times due to the characters going round in circles with each other, they got there in the end with a feel good book that left you wanting more.

Great, listen

Loved the cast, their accents and Beth's use of Brazilian Portuguese. It all added to the story and listening experience.

Enjoyable fun

Good story but it was hard to get into it. I think Lucas’s performance was very poor, it was very hard for me to listen at the beginning.

Good story but poor performance
