Summary

When banished Princess Maia is captured by her father and threatened with execution, it appears that all is lost...until the people rise in rebellion against their king. Suddenly, the cast-aside royal finds herself crowned the first Queen of Comoros. But enemies appear on all sides as her father's conniving supporters assemble a new army against the fledgling ruler. While Maia struggles to keep the peace within her own walls, she rushes to form historical alliances with her neighboring kingdoms against an impending invasion of the ruthless Naestors - led by the cruel Corriveaux - who will destroy anyone Maia loves in order to ruin her kingdom and prevent the mastons from regaining power.

Realizing that Muirwood Abbey is once again her only hope for survival, Maia gathers her people there for protection. When she discovers an adversary greater than she's ever known, she must use all the magic, strength, and wisdom gained from her life's trials to prevent the Void that would bring destruction to herself, her true love, and the entire kingdom.

Fantastic

An excellent series of books I would highly recommend. Although slow to start the story builds and grips you from the heart.

Genuinely pleasing to read

This trilogy has many ups and downs woven throughout the story but is genuinely up lifting at the end. I would recommend any of the authors books, I've never been disappointed.

finished

A friend recommended Jeff Wheeler's Muirwood books, and I'm so glad she did, what a rollercoaster of a story! I will be a little bit lost when I have heard everything available by him, meanwhile, I can start another trilogy by him and be lost in great story telling while I get on with mundane jobs. Hurray for audiobooks :D

What an amazing conclusion to an amazing trilogy. Trips and trails, gripping and heart rending. Characters so real and familiar you feel related to them! Great penmanship. Thank you.

nice finish

I read this series after finishing the first Muirwood series. I didn't think I would like it as much but just like the first one I couldn't put it down. I like the way he brought it all together in the end. a nice finish to the entire Muirwood series!

Amazing book, sad it's over!

I fell in love first with The Legends of Muirwood and this series was just as enchanting. Jeff Wheeler has created an irresistible world, and the narrator brought it to life! Excited to see what the new series has in store...

Jeff Wheeler is a Master Storyteller!

When I started the second series I wasn't sure I would like it as much as the first. But the more I read it the more I felt like I could feel and understand the Medium and Maia. It's amazing how a book can invoke feelings of good and goodwill toward others while bringing you through an amazingly well told story with excitement and satisfaction. I thoroughly enjoyed The second installment of Muirwood and highly recommend it to avid readers everywhere. You won't be disappointed!

This ending to Muirwood series was fast paced and intriguing. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking historical novels. Jeff Wheeler has out done himself, once again.

The connection of a world!

I am growing to greatly appreciate how an author with a strong gift in world building weaves the pieces of their developed stories into a fully fleshed out world. You don’t need to read one set to get it all, but when you do, you will see the connections.

Lia’s invocation of the words of fire taming, the way things linked to the Mirrowen series that started with Fireblood. Even the wedding scene that mimicked the similar scene when dryads marry in the aforementioned series. The ankle bracelet that all dryads wear. It was beautifully done. Even comments that reference dryads linked to oak trees. Even the Kishion is in both series. It’s just well crafted.

I’ve enjoyed the stories immensely. Well done, Mr. Wheeler. Well done, indeed.

I can’t get enough of this series.

This book and series is so intense. I could never be as compassionate as Maia. There is so much emotion throughout this book and series. Kate Rudd still does an exceptional job narrating. I am definitely going to be getting more books by Jeff Wheeler.

Void of Muirwood

Enjoyable, and a good climatic and swaying completion in this saga.

I have loved listening to this series starting with Kingfountain and the Fountains’ lore to Muirwood and the Medium.

Also, I have enjoyed learning in this saga what the big M was getting up to in this world.
I wonder what his deal is that he can’t seem to keep the same name...lol.....I mean, Merlin....possibly...lol.

I have enjoyed all of Wheelers’ books, with his historically driven content, and fight of fancy.

I thank Wheeler, and I hope he continues to string worlds together under the veil of the thousand worlds.

I also must mention that Rudds’ performance was excellent once again.
