Eric didn't ask to be a vampire. In fact he didn't even believe in them. Biting your own tongue with your fangs does a lot of convincing. Even so, being a part-time undead isn't as easy as you might think. It can let you hold down a day job, true, but sometimes the night "life" can be more than a little difficult, what with those bloodthirsty urges and predatory instincts kicking in.

I killed a girl last night. I did it with my bare hands and an old piece of pipe I found lying next to the dumpster. But that's not the part that got me. The part that scared me, the part I can't seem to wrap my head around and still has me reeling, was that when she charged me, her body shifted - and then she was a wolf. All snapping teeth and extended claws.

Most witches don't work for police departments, but Michelle isn't your average witch. She's clanless, looking for a warlock who isn't offended by her lack of family connections, and in danger of losing her job if she can't find the eight escaped trolls before they start eating the local residents. Trolls, angry police, and misbehaving spells are the least of her problems. Statues attacking homeowners might be problematic for your average witch, but to Michelle it's another day at the office.

Summary
A mad god. A vile betrayal. Necromancer Damian Vesik faces his darkest hour, but he's not dead yet.
This Broken World (book four)
An ocean of darkness lives in the journal of Philip Pinkerton. Ancient things with no place in our world are rising from the Abyss. Ezekiel, the arrogant, mad god, has called us into battle. Does he think we can't touch him, or does he know we can't? I wish I knew. The world’s only hope lies in a forgotten weapon, the strength of our allies, and one necromancer of questionable ancestry. Yeah, this is going to end well.
Destroyer Rising (book five)
It's been three years since we failed Vicky, the child once known as Elizabeth Gray. Three years she's lived as something not quite alive, but far from dead. Her path grows darker, even as she spreads light and hope through a tortured world. The Destroyer has come to claim her, and I can’t fail her again. I won't. Elizabeth's fate lies in the Burning Lands, and we will storm the gates.
Rattle the Bones (book six)
Much has been lost in the conflict with the Fae king and his allies, a conflict we hadn’t known we were in until one of our own fell at his hand. And while a great Seal between realms may have been rebuilt, dark things slipped through in the chaos, creatures who would overrun this world. Our allies are many. Our enemies are terrible. And someone ate my last chimichanga, despite the fact I had clearly marked it with a note that said it was mine.
This collection includes books four, five, and six of the Vesik urban fantasy series. Jump into the madness today!

Entertaining
Paranormal stories involving a necromancer that faces insurmountable odds. Vesik is nerdy and sarcastic along with impressive physical and magical fighting skills. This three book set picks up where the series left off. The listener is given a non-stop paranormal adventure and mystery! The characters are awesome and the storyline is quite entertaining. The narrator did a great job! I received a free copy of this audiobook and have voluntarily left this review.

Really cool!
A very well narrated series which is brilliantly written. Great characters which feel real and well explored and you really connect with them. It's packed full of story with both humour and action aplenty. It's a roller coaster of a ride and one that you don't want to end. Brilliant from start to finish! Certainly a series to get and an author and narrator to keep an eye on.

Phenomenally good read. Gripping story!
These 3 books had me absolutely mesmerised and engrossed throughout the whole boxset.
The writing is excellent with well defined and developed characters. There are so many you cannot fail to form some form of bond with one of them. The story is excellent giving you all the information and background you need from the first 3 to fully enjoy and understand what is going on in these 3 books.
It bounces along at a fantastic pace moving themes with ease and a thoroughly organic feel. I couldn't put this series down and want to read more. I especially love the interplay of characters and the humorous back stories of certain characters.
The narration is top shelf offering fantastic variety of voices and the breadth of accents is great. The narrator captures the essence of a character giving them life.
In summation I would recommend this series whole heartedly if you love fantasy, adventure or just a great story. It can easily appeal to all audiences as the story deals with a lot of topics amazingly gracefully.

All I'm going to say is that there is a dragon and a pirate ship made of bone. How awesome is that? I'll tell you, it was all kinds of crazy awesome but that wasn't all. I suggest you give the books a listen and see where Vesik's adventures take him. you will not be disappointed.

The series just keeps getting better
This box set is books 4-6 of the Vesik Series. It continues on the storyline from the previous books about a Necromancer Damian Vesik and his friends who consist of Vampires, Werewolves, Faries, Water Witches, Witches, and more.
I really liked how each book has its own story arc as well as continuing a greater story arc as well. So many series books these days do not do this and you finish a book with the feeling of having not accomplished anything.
The tone is a mix of dark subjects and light humor which can clash with each other at times and some of the humor feels like it was being forced, but not to the point where it would diminish my enjoyment of the story at all.
The Audiobook was narrated by William Dufris who does an amazing job! I would definitely pick up more books that are narrated by him.

Not a bad book set for 1 credit
I can't complain to much since I paid 1 credit for 3 books. The story and performance has been good enough to keep me hooked to purchase the next book. I do feel that the performance of the reader in this set was a bit lacking compared to the first set, the voices change half way through some of the books. The writing of the book is ok, there is still alot of "he said, she said" dialog but not as much as there was in the first 3 books. There are a couple plot holes or gaps in the story too, ex they don't explain why or how the mantel was passed onto Vesik. Overall a decent listen for the money you pay for the box set.

The series gets better as the books advance
Any additional comments?
The series overall is very good and entertaining. It still lacks the needed exposition and explanations to really understand the characters, magics and world building, but after listening to the first three books you get more to work with and the narration is slower in this box set than in the first one, only had to listen at 0.9 instead of 0.75.

.
I liked how in book 4 Vesik goes to the burning lands and he's basically god there since everything is made of death and he gets the mantle of Anubis.
Then the betrayal of Glen the fairy king left a sour taste, with the world in a precarious place. Waiting for possible box set 3!
