"You can't escape the curse..."

After years of abuse in a loveless relationship, Leo Grayson secretly packs up his life and heads west to Varcross, Oregon. But there’s a problem: Varcross doesn’t exist—well, not in Oregon.

Strange lights over the highway send Leo careening into an impossible realm with no way to escape. While struggling to cope with being the only human in a cursed and derelict town, he finds love and companionship with the very monsters who may one day lose control and spread their affliction to him. To make matters worse, Leo’s arrival catches the attention of a manipulative, magic-wielding demon who wants to use the human to somehow destroy the wards keeping Varcross sealed away.

As time runs out for Leo and his new friends, he must either abandon those who sacrificed to keep him safe, or face down a powerful and desperate malevolence he cannot possibly win against alone.

So far, my favourite book of all time...

I may be biassed, as a lover of werewolves! but hey, none of the other stuff out there can compare! Much like his previous book 'The Mark of Amulii' i have listened to and read this book multiple times!
This book has encouraged my mind to see without eyes, taken me on a journey as a spectator of others discovering their own worth and self-discovery, shown me that relationships can happen when you least expect them.. and that ultimately pack life is the life for me...

wonderfully dingy and dark world filled with colour and life, bad and good.. get your claws out peeps, this book will sink them in deep.

Skuru: You did a brilliant job, looking forward to seeing how much you'll improve again on the next book! keep it up buddy.

Keep them coming boss man,

At the end, the suddens switch up of the characters perspectives, had a bit confused at first luckly skurus exelent voice acting helped and with the things only those characters would say helped with knowing who was talking, still it was a bit jarring.

The amazing way of describing the invironment and characters, creating a clear mental picture of them.

Compelling story, good writing and grate voice acting. Skuru performance and voices worked very well at conveying the personality and helps knowing who the book is focusing. Not often I binge listen to books, I got though this in 3 days.
This book might not be for evreyone, there is not much I can say without spoiling it. However if you have a fascination and need for Lycanthropes and same sex relationships, this book is for you.

Amazing gay furry novel.
