The narration of the entire cast is pristine and I enjoyed it all the way through, as well as the plot and characters that were shown to have depth and personalities, through and through. That's why I really want to give this audiobook the full five stars but in the name of honesty I cannot do so.

That's basically down to two things: the audio quality dips in a strange way seemingly consistently during Annabella's lines; and the story is otherwise great and compelling but for the way Jack chooses against his resolve on numerous occasions. This is apparently due to his manipulated emotions, resembling a weather vane in my opinion more than just a confused and betrayed person.
It may well be just my interpretation of things or my personal tastes regarding such a personality trait.

In any case, these are my reasons for dropping that one star from my review.

omg! that voice is so smooth, because of that I have been up listening all night. I started listening at about 2pm in the afternoon yesterday.

I had to take breaks from listening because Jack's voice is so smooth, alluring, captivating, melting.

However, the story of The Vampire Jack Townson is brilliant. I can't wait for number 2.
