Finally, we were on our way, and there was no hiding my excitement! I was actually getting married to a decent guy. A whole me! I stood stunned for a moment or two as I took it all in.

This is the riveting sequel to the erotic thriller, The Vacation Lodge. This lust-filled pause-resister follows Raven as she embarks on a new chapter of life with her husband-to-be.

Writhed in tradition, the whirlwind romance drives the advancing couple to an exceedingly timely marriage. And for Raven, her fairy-tale ending could not have come a moment sooner. But as the wedding approaches, she is stunned when she unearths a more callous side to her suitor. Can Raven still bear to wed her fiancé after his true colors are revealed?

Raven has some tough decisions to make, but for every action, there is a consequence. And as old and new worlds meet, she gets tangled in the midst of betrayal and seductions. Stuck between a rock and a hard place, what will Raven decide to do?

Round Two!!

So I decided to check-in on, Raven, our Vacationing Vixen. In round two of her adventures, Raven has returned to Jamaica to wed and honeymoon. However, as things go sour she decides to meet with old flames from book one.

Personally, I enjoyed Book 2 more than the first. As for my erotica preferences, I like to get to know my characters and to become involved in their story. Book 2 offers the opportunity to both follow a stonger storyline and to thoroughly relax into the steamy scenes of pleasure. For those who have returned to the series for the sexy scenes, then you wont be disappointed. They are tastefully written and abundant in this sequel.

I'm not sure why, but I wanted Raven to be a bit more adventurous in this story. Yes, she has about as much "pleasure" as in the first book. Yet the pleasure scenes are a bit vanilla for someone involved with a man who specializes in "pleasure".

The book begins with what seems to be a more mature Raven. However, there is something about Jamaica that causes her to lose her composure. She becomes irrational and a bit of cry baby. It makes you wonder why she would go back to Jamaica to get married??? Especially somewhere close to an old "hang-out" spot AND where you once smashed a dude's face in with a rock. I'm surprised there haven't been any consequences to those actions. But Book 3 might see Raven come face to face with the men whose faces she has introduced to hard objects. And yes, there's more than one.

Though I don't see eye to eye with Raven, her antics are entertaining.

Raven : "I was still trying to process how she always manages to get herself in these situations." 🤣 Really? After all of Ravens shinanigines in the last book she is judging someone else 🤣

Raven: "How could she try to flirt with my guy?" Oh no baby girl. This ain't your man. This is community property. 😂

My positive points for Vacation Lodge 2:
• Sexier
• Beautiful descriptive writing
• More character development for returning characters
• Addition of some new interesting characters
• More complicated relationships
• And more sexy Jamaican accents

My only negative critique on the story would be how the relationship turns out with Raven and one of the other female characters. Too often we see female characters at each others throat. Unfortunately, many of those times a man is the cause of the drama.

I would not have minded having a portion of the story told from the other females point of view. Even a few of the steamy scenes with her and her partner(s).

3 Stars 🌟🌟🌟- Good Book. I like the overall concept and it was delivered well. Most common ranking for a book I enjoyed and look forward to the next.
