Summary

Boss is back.

Having lost both a hand and his entire team when Jim Powell and his friends attacked the power plant, Boss is obsessed with revenge. He had no idea who the men were, but he’s determined to launch a search for them until his command makes it clear that his mission of vengeance is not a priority.

Undeterred, Boss arrives at a covert method of engaging the entire population of southwest Virginia in his hunt for the insurgents. He has fliers scattered in the communities around the power plant offering a reward of food and ammunition for the live capture of the lone man whose image was caught by a security camera.

The rampant rumors surrounding the attack at the plant work against Jim. His name is whispered everywhere that people gather. Almost overnight, he and his friends find themselves under attack from desperate neighbors determined to collect the reward.

Couldnt out it down

Never a disappointment which explains why he is up there as one of my top favourites. The voice over is also o e of my top favourites infact its 2nd place. or is it 1st place? hmmm Action packed rollercoaster! Great plot, and cemented lovable characters that you feel are now part of your family. only slight disappointment was that DR Hook turned out to be a slough. would much more have preferred that he was taken home for some pyscocemtaic interrogation and a little bit of nose to nose, forehead to forehead butt clenching verbal fury. A bit of ping pong would have been awsome and I was looking forward to it. Disappointment really that when it finally came to the peak, it just flopped! men!

More trouble for Jim

Yes! This story came back with a bang. The last book had me a little worried towards the end, but book 7 pulled me back in. I’ll admit I was a bit worried in the beginning when so much of the story centered around Boss (the antagonist from book 6), but those scenes were used to build up to the latter part. Once we spend more time with Jim and his crew, I felt fully emerged into the world again. There’s a scene so riveting that I felt my own fists tighten as a mother goes all out to protect her child. Chilling, yet captivating and powerful. The ending of the book was satisfying and not filled with too much info-dumping and narrative. Had just the right touch and human element and closure. The Borrowed World as a series doesn’t feel like it’s ready to come to a close, yet. So, if Franklin Horton publishes an 8th book, I’ll definitely be adding it to my list of must-reads.

Great narration from Kevin Pierce, as always.

if you like bad books this is the book for you!

worst audiobook in the series I mean absolutely completely a waste of money and a waste of time. Thank goodness I didn't spend any money on this book and I got a credit that I get in my account every month from audible cuz if I would have spent money on this book I would have been yelling at myself right now. If you actually like boring repetitive feminist agenda pushing all men are bad guys books and just being a man means that you are evil then this is the book for you. If you're a millennial and you really think that everyone owes you something and this is the book for you. If you are a American citizen who believes in communism then this is the book for you because this book is absolutely stupid and basically written had to be written I'm Sorry by someone that's a millennial or has a son or daughter that's a millennial and is basically apologizing for being a man because how dare he be born a man. This book is just absolutely insulting to Americans everywhere and to anyone with an intelligence this is the worst book ever written Frank Horton you should be ashamed of yourself for then writing a book that's so awful. Just END THIS AWFUL SERIES ALREADY!!! the series already it's just gone on too long it's awful.see the book couldn't have been for me to read it because I'm an American citizen and a Christian and a believer in Jesus Christ and I believe that the constitution is one of the best things that happened to our country. I'm also a man of faith and I'm also a person that doesn't stand with him in his arm because they degrades the man makes men look stupid. It's the stupid agenda that makes men look stupid and mixed women look like they can do everything and men don't even need to exist anymore because women don't need them. Well they do need them and women need men and men need women this is the way God designed it.I mean how dare I believe that you should follow what the Bible says that men and woman have their own roles to play in a relationship.women are greater at things that men aren't good at and men are greater at things that women usually aren't good at not because a woman can't do what man do. it's because men were designed to be and do certain things and behave a certain way and women have their own weight that they were designed to behave but how dare I say that. let's see bad God's the one in control not you anyone who says that they don't like my opinion can deal with it because it's called my freedom of speech. how dare I say that women do do great at bearing children raising children and being part of the children's lives and how dare I say men are great at being the breadwinner horrible man because I Believe In traditional gender roles. and yes there's only two genders men and women! there is no other genders there is only two God created man and woman that's it.

i hope this isn't the end

F. Horton did it again. Great storyline, well thought out and action packed. The characters and plotline was consistent with the previous novels. This book was different in regards to the climatic ending and momentum torward finally getting some peace in "the Valley". I hope it doesn't end here.... One of my all time favorite series!

interesting read

altgough I am probably spoiled by the quality of the story up until now I was somewhat left short with the story. seemed to have left my flat, not begging for more like the previous books.

I will recommend the entire series even this particular book bit I would have to add a caveat to this specific book as dont judge the entire series off of this one book.

E*P*I*C!!!!

Nice finale Franklin! As always, Kevin did a masterful job of narrating. I hate to see the last of Jim, Ellen and their family, Lloyd, Randi and the rest of the tribe. Thank you letting me share their world!!

Enjoyed the complete series.

Great story of Jim Powell along with all the characters surrounding him. I read all of Franklin's books and find all very entertaining. Great writer for sure. Kevin Pierce is one of the best for audio and find myself searching other books he narrated just for that reason.

I bought 7 credits to listen to all 7 books

Couldnt get enough of this series. These characters have been preparing for an apocalypse and when it goes down they are hundreds of miles from home and damn near die to get home to their families just in time to ban together before the raiders of the world kill them all and it is a non stop battle.

Big Sigh of relief. Quality work by All

After a big action packed battle in the last book things only got harder but it all fell together so logically it only made sense that it would. A most excellent job done by all.
