Summary

Boss is back.

Having lost both a hand and his entire team when Jim Powell and his friends attacked the power plant, Boss is obsessed with revenge. He had no idea who the men were, but he’s determined to launch a search for them until his command makes it clear that his mission of vengeance is not a priority.

Undeterred, Boss arrives at a covert method of engaging the entire population of southwest Virginia in his hunt for the insurgents. He has fliers scattered in the communities around the power plant offering a reward of food and ammunition for the live capture of the lone man whose image was caught by a security camera.

The rampant rumors surrounding the attack at the plant work against Jim. His name is whispered everywhere that people gather. Almost overnight, he and his friends find themselves under attack from desperate neighbors determined to collect the reward.

Couldnt out it down

Never a disappointment which explains why he is up there as one of my top favourites. The voice over is also o e of my top favourites infact its 2nd place. or is it 1st place? hmmm Action packed rollercoaster! Great plot, and cemented lovable characters that you feel are now part of your family. only slight disappointment was that DR Hook turned out to be a slough. would much more have preferred that he was taken home for some pyscocemtaic interrogation and a little bit of nose to nose, forehead to forehead butt clenching verbal fury. A bit of ping pong would have been awsome and I was looking forward to it. Disappointment really that when it finally came to the peak, it just flopped! men!

i hope this isn't the end

F. Horton did it again. Great storyline, well thought out and action packed. The characters and plotline was consistent with the previous novels. This book was different in regards to the climatic ending and momentum torward finally getting some peace in "the Valley". I hope it doesn't end here.... One of my all time favorite series!

interesting read

altgough I am probably spoiled by the quality of the story up until now I was somewhat left short with the story. seemed to have left my flat, not begging for more like the previous books.

I will recommend the entire series even this particular book bit I would have to add a caveat to this specific book as dont judge the entire series off of this one book.

E*P*I*C!!!!

Nice finale Franklin! As always, Kevin did a masterful job of narrating. I hate to see the last of Jim, Ellen and their family, Lloyd, Randi and the rest of the tribe. Thank you letting me share their world!!

Tacticool.

Great story. Horton continues this series with a suspenseful and exciting twist and drama that keeps you angry, excited and happy all within a page or two without you swing it coming. I think I’ll read/ listen to it again

As Always - Doesnt let you down!!

You would think there wasnt much more to add on to a series that's 8 books in....but then again, Franklin isnt your normal author writing "normal" books, & Kevin Pierce narrating the book is the icing on the cake!
I have to say this series is probably one of my top 3, maybe #1.... itd been prolly a year since I'd listened to the previous books, so I was afraid I wouldnt remember where the last one ended....but it all comes back bc you KNOW those characters, & you KNOW their story bc you are so invested & dare I say - emotionally attached - in them that you remember these details & their lives, even after reading probably 100+ books since then.

he doesn't disappoint!!! Kevin Pierce is THE best narrator, without a doubt my #1!

what the???

Oh my gosh. This book held the tension far longer than any other book in the whole world. My ONE exception was the first Locker 9 book. I have been hanging on for so long, and I'm really (I don't know if happy is the right word) happy with the plot progression, BUT, this chapter left me hanging fora LONG time! Seriously looking forward to the next book! Soooo good!!

Franklin Horton rocks

Revenge was on the agenda for Jim and more then one person was looking to cash in on his head. Another great book in the series and kept me going till the end.
