Prescriptive nonsense

A real man is this, a real man is that, blah blah... He's saying things that are a bit, well I dunno really, but I'm just over an hour into this and have enough life experience to know he's talking rubbish. There are a lot of books out there about male empowerment, some better than others - this is one of the worst and I have no idea why it has so many positive reviews.

fails to have substance

A few interesting theories. The rest of the book just full of rambling filler and factully dubious statements. Similar in style to 'get rich quick' books. Wasted my time listening to it.

Hard to get into, extremely valuable once you do.

This book is hard to get into, extremely valuable once you do. The concepts and ideas are very outlandish, but I started to make sense of it all. This is not a guide for how everyone in society should be, this is for a particular type of individual who, I would say, values his / her own freedom above any of the other societal norms and expectations. Normal morals are assumed and a prerequisite - no breaking the law, no harming people, no being mean to people. In fact, a person living the Alpha Male 2.0 lifestyle wants his own freedom so much, that he wishes the freedom of others. He does not take joy in anyone being in an unfortunate position, however guards and maintains his own personal stability, future and happiness. Very hard to get into, very valuable once you do.

I highly recommend this book

This is an excellent book in every way. I listened to it three times. Every man should read this book particularly when in his early twenties. I completely agree with 100% of the concepts of this book. I have been following most of these concepts my entire life and the author is absolutely spot on. The concepts I haven't been following I am now following. The best part about this book for me is that it validates 90% of my life choices and lifestyle which have been contrary to the mainstream societal programming. Too bad this book wasn't available to me when I was 20 years old. I could have saved 25 years of trial and error, frustration, and poor decisions. I got there, but I had to learn as I went along. I can't recommend this book enough. This book is very well written and the narration is excellent. Well done Caleb. Well done.

The horrible man

Following this book you will end up more unhappy than you could possibly imagine. This book is the epitome of becoming a douchebag. Don't follow this trash. This coming from a successful, happy husband and father. I was in disbelief that this book was of such poor morale values. People that teach and think like this man end up hated and alone with guilt at the end of their lives.

I'll be reading this again

I fancy myself fairly well steeped in success and business books. some of the best information I've gleamed over the years is here with a key addition of smashing some hardcore BS social programming. I got a ton more value from seeing the overall lifestyle though. The women, family, health, and areas I haven't focused on as much. I wish this book was around in my early 20s.

Extraordinary. Eye opening

I think every man should read this book. Crushing common sense, the beauty of the Alpha 2.0 lifestyle is it’s simplicity while embracing the sophistication and complexities of the modern business and relationships world. I had been exposed to the non-monogamous Alpha 2.0 in his other books, and it made total sense since the first time I learned about it, but this book goes beyond non-monogamy to implement the same principles in business, parenting, etc. I which I had read it 10 yrs ago

A must read for every man

At 47.5 years old, the information in this book was extremely eye-opening and valuable... However, I wish I had this book available to me when I was 20.... OHHHHH, how different my life would have been..

Unchained is the right term.

This is a really great starting place if you're a man who wants to free himself from limiting beliefs, limited income, constricting societal expectations and pressures to live in ways that make you unhappy and convincing yourself that your suffering is somehow stoic or noble. I first read this book 2 years ago after a rough patch and did the honest self-examination that's required to get out from under the boot heel of old, obsolete traditional thinking that was only chaining me to my own self-imposed unhappiness. Far more meaning, love, and fun in my life now. Give this a listen, ESPECIALLY if you know you're an emotionally fragile, politically obsessed beta who keeps having his heart broken and career smothered.

Boring

The author is boring and redundant. I couldn't finish the book. I'm not saying this book isn't any good, it's just not for me.

Great book, Consider not buying the audible one.

I love this book. The author is clearly good at presentation so his performance in narration is great. The problem is that parts are hard to conceptualize and there are chapters I need to re-visit. For this reason I will probably get a physical copy to make my life easier. This has been a bit paradigm shifting for me especially the author's view on relationships. I'm trying out the 'E3D' method and I will probably keep it. I will probably revisit once a year but I will need a hard copy. I had the same issue with David Allen's Getting Things Done. I learn a lot from audible books but some I feel are better in physical form.

Crushed It

Best I've read since the rational male and on many ways of much better as it provides practical advice.

It's all about perspective

One man's happiness is another man's miserable existence... I don't see how the author can be as happy as he says he is, if he's set so many requirements for being happy.
