Meet Ananya Malhotra—Harvard graduate, US-returned architect, and heir to one of Mumbai’s biggest construction empires. By day she builds luxury hotels, towering office spaces, and dreamy resorts. By night? She’s the city’s most unapologetic single womanizer who has zero interest in settling down.

Her mother, Seema Malhotra, has had enough. Determined to turn her daughter into marriage material, Seema drops the ultimate bombshell: “Find yourself a perfect bride—or I’ll choose one for you.”

The rules? The future Mrs. Malhotra must be from a prominent family, highly educated, ambitious, and still respectful of old family traditions. Easy, right? Wrong!

Between awkward first dates, laugh-out-loud disasters, and a parade of women who are either too bold, too boring, or too brilliant for their own good, Ananya realizes that finding Mrs. Perfect might be harder than constructing a skyscraper. And with her mother’s constant looming, she has to decide: fight the ultimatum or stumble her way into the kind of love she never planned for.

Packed with witty banter, laugh-out-loud mishaps, family drama, and sizzling lesbian chemistry, The Ultimatrimony is a heartwarming, hilarious lesbian romantic comedy perfect for fans of sapphic romance, arranged marriage chaos, and smart, ambitious heroines who have everything figured out—except love.

Join Ananya’s journey to prove that when it comes to love, even the best-laid blueprints can go wildly off track.

This is an ‘Okay’ listen , This was described as a ‘Romantic Comedy ‘, it wasn’t. I may of been generous giving 4 stars across the board , it was mainly the last chapter that gave me pause but it is better than 3 stars. The time line in the last chapter didn’t make sense, moving forward a year yet it seemed ‘they’ hadn’t grown much as a couple in that time ? I liked how the author introduced the ‘potential brides’ in chapter form. I don’t think this does any favours to the Indian community in respect of the practice of arranged marriage, there seemed a lot of bullying and manipulation going on. Overall it was a good idea that lost it’s way .
