Really informative on a important subject! As someone who struggles with difficulty concentrating, I enjoyed how this book was easier to listen to than most history books

As someone with Irish heritage I am massively interested in this topic. I stumbled across this and what a gem, I learnt things that I didn’t know before. A fantastic piece of writing, well researched, evidenced and written. Incredibly insightful, a must listen!

While informative, this audiobook also carries emotional weight. Listening to the escalation of violence, the hunger strikes, and the bombings is gut-wrenching. But O’Hara doesn’t just dwell on the pain—he leads the listener through the difficult peace process and the fragile reconciliation efforts. I came away with a deep appreciation for the resilience of the people affected by the Troubles. Truly powerful storytelling.

Poignant and Powerful

A really good explanation of what went on. Only minor complaint, Narrator was very good and clear but sometimes a tiny bit boring. But great for the most part!

Really good introduction to the troubles
