About this listen

The masters of the Doom Eagles Space Marines Chapter descend upon the world of Tranzia to honour a batch of new recruits who will lead the Chapter into the next generation. As they make planetfall, the world rises up against them in a rebellion organised by the alien Tau. But something else lurks behind the xenos, a horror that has haunted the Imperium since its very beginnings. The Doom Eagles and their Adepta Sororitas allies are thrust into a race against time to discover the true architect of the Tranzia Rebellion before the entire world is consumed by darkness.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

After each chapter the audio plays music, introduces the next chapter and lists everyone involved. Though I understand why this was done, it still prevents you from being completely engrossed in the story

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

The voice actors were incredible and exactly how I'd imagine a Space Marine talking

Amazing book, badly combined

A stage-play format, this marks a new for of Warhammer audiobook.

Packed with twists, reveals and great voice acting. a little difficult to follow all is the characters at first, you nevertheless quickly get the hang of it, and then you can enjoy the hapless, the heroes and the villains in risk measure. Evocative sound effects round or a first-rate production. Highly recommended!

A Warhammer audiobook.. with a twist

I had been working through several mainstream 40k books which was turning into a slog. this was a refreshing change of pace. a fast and hard httkng story with some good characters and great voice acting - worth a listen.

An Interesting Diversion From Mainstream 40k Stories.

it may be a good story, unfortunately I won't be finishing it, it's done in a episode style so the story is constantly interrupted to just have it re-introduced again, the voice actors are good but it's missing a narrator as well.

poor format

I think it was an enjoyable story. I found it a little hard to focus on it however as it felt the need to have the credits every 5-10 minutes. Very off-putting at made it harder to keep track of what was going on.

Constant interruptions marr enjoyment.
