Summary

Book five in Anthony J Melchiorri's The Tide series.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo already faced the extreme ravages of war before the outbreak. Deep within the militia-controlled jungles, Captain Dominic Holland and his covert group, the Hunters, follow a lead in a desperate race to uncover who is responsible for the biological weapon turning humans into the monsters known as Skulls. But what they uncover may be far more dangerous and frightening than they ever expected.

Back in the United States, a lost member of Dom's team makes a final stand to survive and reunite with the Hunters. He faces a relentless tide of Skulls alone. Haunted by his past, he soon realizes far more is at stake than just his survival. The fate of the Hunters and their mission may rest in his hands.

another awesome installment of The Tide series

What did you love best about The Tide: Iron Wind?

The women characters are just as Kick @ss as the male characters. And who can go wrong with Zombie Monsters.

Who was your favorite character and why?

As always, Dom is my favorite, although Frank was a close second in #5.

Have you listened to any of Ryan Kennard Burke’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

this is a fantastic listen.

If you could rename The Tide: Iron Wind, what would you call it?

I like the title.

Any additional comments?

This is a great series, full of action, adventure and almost superhuman men and women fighting zombie monsters.

Still going strong

This is the fifth book in The Tide Series and also the final book which has been published. As with the previous four books, the story flow is a bit slower choosing to focus on the details of each battle and significant event. I enjoy this style of story telling, however, if you prefer a plot that expands quickly then this series may not be for you.

In this installment the Hunters are pushing hard through the Congo in the hopes of reaching those responsible for the Oni outbreak. While the Hunters do battle, the rest of crew works hard to find a cure for the virus.

One thing I really enjoyed was the introduction of two new types of skulls. I won't provide any spoilers about these new beasts, you will just have to read it for yourself.

I'm hoping for a sixth book in this series to be released soon.

I have enjoyed the books. Good entertainment

I like the characters and get attached to some of them. Their puns and light hearted jokes are the best parts of the books.

Holy Cow!

This was a Fantastic Ride! Just when you think there can't be anything worse than a Goliath Anthony J. Melchiorri slaps you up side the head. Not giving anything away but my heart was racing multiple times with this book. Sadly, we also say goodbye to a hero. Looking forward to book 6!
