Summary

Jackie Collins for a new generation. The Thunder Girls by Melanie Blake is a lavish tale of friendship and scandal, rivalry and betrayal. Soon to be a nationwide play with an all star cast.

The

Chrissie, Roxanne, Carly and Anita, an '80s pop sensation outselling and outclassing their competition. Until it all comes to an abrupt end and three of their careers are over, and so is their friendship.

Thunder

Thirty years later, their old record label wants the band back together for a huge moneymaking concert. But the wounds are deep, and some need this gig more than others.

In those decades apart life was far from the dream they were living as a member of The Thunder Girls. Breakdowns, bankruptcy, addiction and divorce were constant parts of their lives. They’ve been to hell and back, and some are still there.

What a story!!!🥂👠⚡️

OMG I finished listening to this book in one day!! What can I say!!! Must have read. Melanie has portrayed each of the girls brilliant. I saw her sold out play first before listening to the book and even though the play is one chapter of the book, I can see everything from the book in the play. I can picture every scene like I am fly on the wall, watching the bitch fights, the tears and the laughs Absolutely Amazing....brilliant work ⚡️👠🥂

Don’t believe the (author’s) hype...

Dreadful. Unoriginal, hackneyed story, unfortunately. Narrator does their best with the material. Wouldn’t recommend this, sorry.

I enjoyed it

Thoroughly enjoyed the explanation and experiences of the band and the build to the secrets, lies and revenge, however it was rather long winded, nearly stopped listening but then I was keen to know the outcomes. Thanks

I finished it but it wasn't great

The audio keeps changing volume; shouty one minute and then too quiet the next. annoying. story: dialogue a little exaggerated and plot too obvious. full of stereotypes

Not really enjoying this book

I download this to listen to on holiday as I though the storyline sounded good. I’m really disappointed by the storyline and the narration is very slow and boring. Have speeded it up and it’s a bit better. Not impressed
