Quite different from her usual, but still felt very much like MZ. Slooooowest of slow burns and loveable characters! Great narration

I have every book from Mariana Zapata. This one is another treat. The characters, the dialogue, the storyline, the magic… all wonderful.
Great narration, and a totally original setting. The only complaint I have is that I’ll never be able to visit.

Now I need more. (Oh and Duncan? Yes. Love. Love. Love)

Although I usually love Mariana’s stories, I feel this one just dragged. For the length of the book, the climax was a bit of let down.

Another great story by Mariana Zapata. I am not normally into fantasy but she makes fantasy seem normal. Storylines have humour, romance, courage and lots of wonderful characters.
