Summary

I wanted to hate her. For three years, Camilla withheld the fact that my brother had a son, Liam. Then, Tony died without ever knowing his kid, and I was going to make sure Ms. Rose paid a price for her deceit. I also wanted Liam to be raised as a Burke. Our family's legacy was one to carry on, so the terms were straightforward.

5 wonderful stars.

This was my first audiobook and I loved it. I wasn’t sure to begin with but I soon realised the benefit’s of an audiobook. The storyline is amazing and the characters were brought to life so well. I have been converted ! Thank you Ruby for sharing your talent with us. You are awesome.

Volume 1

The story is so addictive I didn't want to pause the audiobook. Camilla has and ugly pass and she escaped it with her younger sister but she worries all the time it will catch up to her.Totally enjoyed.. next Volume 2.

My Review

Ruby Rowe is a new to me author and holy hell!!! This book is hot and extremely steamy. This book is full of secrets that will come out! Of course you won't find out until the next book, but you do find out and for me, I knew it!! Now the secret I am trying to figure out is what Camilla is keeping from everyone and it's not the secret I already know and suspect. I am already on book 2! I can't wait to find out her secret!

Hot with a little suspense !

I received this audiobook as a Giveaway and this is my honest review.

This is my first Ruby Rowe's book and I already like this author. This is also my first listen with those two narrators. They have a beautiful voice, easy to listen. This is a very good team !

It's a good story with some light BDSM scenes and a little suspense. The author has a beautiful writing. I like when she describes the scenes (the mansion, the rooms, the characters,..). It's easy to imagine, as if we were there. The choice of the main characters's names is perfect (Camillia, Liam and Ellis). They are so easy to love ! I also like Greyson, the enigmatic cousin.

The terms part 1 ends with a cliffhanger. Be sure to buy the second book !

4.5 stars

it's a romance that doesn't start off insert the best circumstances, in fact it starts off as blackmail. She knew she shouldn't have gone to the funeral, shouldn't have put the picture of her son in his suit pocket, but it was her way of saying goodbye and telling him about his son. What she didn't expect was for his brother to see her or to connect to dots. Now they're loving in his house so her son can be a "Burke". She was thrown away by one brother and now she finds she has chemistry with the other who is blackmailing her. It's a dark and twisted romance that is full of intrigue, but will there be forgiveness when all the lies are brought out into the light. Can't wait for the next book.

Uncomfortable listen

The story could have been a good one, all the sex was uncomfortable to listen to. If the author described more in detail in the beginning how the lead male was feeling or thinking maybe it would have been more realistic. Somethings that should have been detailed where not, while things that didn’t matter where in detail. It also made me mad how the female didn’t fight more for herself. I probably could have connected with her if she had a little fight. I tried to keep listening because the store itself seemed really good but couldn’t get past the weird sex parts.
