A large chunk of Chapter 17 is omitted from the recording. The excluded paragraphs contain details crucial to a full understanding of what follows, such as the call Tom receives from Van Houston at the Inghilterra Hotel and, most importantly, Tom’s reading the newspaper report about the discovery of the boat in San Remo.

A good read but I found it a bit difficult to get into at first. I didn’t take to the narrator. It’s worth persevering with although there are some boring aspects to it.

Breathless from start to finish. You'll love this extraordinary story a about a man, who's got to be one of the most warped in the whole of fiction, who'll stop at nothing to get what he wants.

Timeless portrait of a ruthless sociopath

Didn't know much about this series before I started this book and glad that I didn't. Each scene is believably woven into the next so that the endings all fit together perfectly. Looking forward to Ripley's continued story. By the way, didn't really like any of the characters, including Ripley, but couldn't stop listening anyway.
