Summary

From the 11th storey of a Los Angeles high-rise, Nate looks out on the city - the traffic, the trees and the beach beyond. He breathes deeply. And then he moves one foot off the ledge and into thin air. But before he can jump, gunshots ring out from within the building. A robbery is in progress. And Nate, with nothing to lose but the life he was about to give up, decides to intervene. What happens next plunges Nate into mortal danger...and reunites him with the family he hasn't known for years - a family he will do anything to protect.

Packed with twists and suspense, hurtling forward at relentless speed, The Survivor is a gripping, unforgettable story of sacrifice, redemption and heroism.

A real page turner. Had a sleepless night listening to it - it is that good!

Awesome!

Unusual plot which get you from the first page and keeps you intralled right to the end.

Great read and brilliantly performed by Harding

Rattling plot twists but simple characters and no surprises in the end game. Reading of adult male characters is fine, others a little tortured.

exciting twists but little more

Brilliant start to The Survivor. Our hero is about to kill himself when he hears a shot and realises he’s stumbled across a bank robbery. After a brilliant start I felt the story lost its way - especially by the ghostly appearances of Charles - but then it finished as well as it started. There was a deeper meaning to the plot. First book I’ve listened to by Gregg Hurwitz and it was a solid 7/10

Surviving The Survivor

Entertaining, fast-paced read with some great narration (even if his female voices were a bit ropey at times) . Really likeable protagonist, too, which always helps. Fairly graphic in places, but never too over-the-top.

Gripping stuff
