A fun ride on the love train

I’m so in love with Ryan and I thoroughly enjoyed his travel towards happy ever after. The search for his dream girl got derailed a bit but the track he went down landed him a perfect match and it was worth listening in. Have fun.

Outstanding RomCom & Narration🎧A Heartfelt Delight

This book is an enjoyable delight! I loved everything about it, from Lisa Becker’s wonderful writing style to the storylines and characters she created to Erin Mallon fabulous narration. The story is original with interesting storylines that grabbed my attention right from the start and held it straight to the end. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. I adored Ryan Carlson, a hopeless romantic with charm and a lot of heart. What he was willing to do to find the girl she had a brief encounter with in the NYC Subway. He knew she was the “one”, his “one”. Angie Prince a reporter at Celebrity Monger thinks she has found the story that will make her career, she gets Ryan on broad and she starts a social media frenzy in search of his Subway girl. I loved this premise, it was getting a great response and was taking on a life of its own. But the web producer wanted more and started manipulating Angie’s idea to stir up drama, including bringing in Ryan’s cheating ex amongst other things. I am keeping things vague because it is best to go in spoiler free. This story is brilliantly plotted and there is never a dull moment. There is drama, some great humor and bantering dialogue, some heartfelt and emotional moments, some twists and turns all leading to an amazing friendship and romance. Sometimes things happen for a reason and you do find what you are looking for. Lisa Becker, thank you for another awesome story. Erin Mallon is perfectly casted to bring this story and it’s characters to life. She is a talented narrator and a versatile voice artist. She performs the voices for all the characters, covers both the male and female roles with perfection, giving each their own unique sound which makes it easy to follow along. She effortlessly handles all the back and forth banter and lands the humor without missing a beat. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

Erin did an amazing job on the narration. She always knows how to bring a story to life! I would highly recommend this book if you love Romantic Comedies, Contemporary Romance, or just romance books in general.

Feel good, heart warming & funny!

Have you ever seen that person that you never met and wonder what would have happened if you approached them? Ryan sees his mysterious Subway girl, but she gets off at her stop before he gets the chance to talk to her. Now with the help of Angie and social media, he is on his way to finding his dream girl. He just doesn't know what his dream girl really is. Fun, flirty, and relevant, Becker pens a story that has a little bit of everything. It has great friendships, fantastic humor, rising passion, social media blunders and the romance of a lifetime. This is a refreshing listen and perfect for the summer! I loved it. Erin Mallon brings it all to life with her extraordinary narration. I love her voice and every time I listen, find myself just relaxing and enjoying. I know she understands her characters and gives them the feelings and inflections to make the story magic.

Another fun & sexy rom-com from Lisa Becker. This book is filled with so many lines that had me giggling throughout. This couple takes the hard way to get where they need to be but the ride was worth it. They had great chemistry and pretty steamy sex but they also had a great connection where they just got each other. I also really enjoyed the supporting characters, his friends were so funny and good, you just couldn't help but love them too. All that and a great happy ending too. The narration was great, Erin Mallon is always perfect, especially narrating alone where we get a lot more of her male voice too, it's like a double win!

Great Characters, fun banter.

Another fun listen by this Lisa Becker. Full of fun characters and witty banter. A very different feel to this one that didn't feel contrived despite the reality show vibe. The characters were interesting, as usual. Just an overall fun listen. And, Erin Mallon, of course, does her masterful thing in this one bringing the story and characters to life.

Pleasantly surprised!

This was the first book I’ve ever listened to by this author. I was pleasantly surprised. This book was a lot different from what I expected from the blurb. Not super predictable. I loved the hero Ryan he’s is an all around good guy with a great heart. The heroine is a straightforward girl with a hard choice. She goes with her heart though. This gives a lot of different perspectives which was a change for me. I’m really intrigued for the next story between the best friends. I will anxiously await that one.

You absolutely must listen to this book!

Wow - just wow! First of all - another spectacular narration by Erin Mallon! My Fave! This story is excellent. A must-read! It's a modern-day spin on the old-fashioned "missed connection" that they used to publish in newspapers, where someone would spot another somewhere out there, perhaps on the subway, and there was a column in a newspaper or magazine that would publish a lot of this type of missed connections. If you read the column and recognized one that you thought might be, you could write-in to the publication and they'd connect you to the person who'd written to the column. The modern twist is that the guy who'd seen the gorgeous girl on the subway makes a website to find her, the website is found by a celebrity gossip online magazine, and it grows from there - the modern twist! It turns viral and they meet and see if they can make a relationship work in the public eye, with all of their dates on camera and posted and the tens of thousands of commends posted right along with it. Can an old fashioned missed connection make it in the modern era? Read (listen - Erin makes it better than reading the text!), and find out for yourselves! It is an amazing twist and turn at every new chapter! Lisa Becker is a new-to-me author and I'm extremely happy to have been recommended this book and the preview of the book at the end (Starfish) is leading me to the next one that I will certainly be picking up quickly. I'm a new fan!

What a fun, entertaining, amazing romcom

Lisa Becker has delivered a really fun, entertaining, sexy rom-com, with lots of emphasis on the comedy. Wow, the road to their HEA was long and bumpy for Ryan and Angie, but she was trying to help him find SOMEONE ELSE, and she was a tabloid TV producer, so there had to have been some questionable decisions required along the way, right? Lisa Becker has a unique and comical way of revealing her characters inner-thoughts, and Erin Mallon did a fantastic job narrating them. Erin Mallon not only has a light, lyrical voice, she's able to moderate her voice so well that she delivers a really enjoyable voice for the male characters as well. I laughed so much during this listen, and I loved the the side characters as well. They were supportive, they were conniving, they ran the gamut of friend and foe, and they all contributed to the story. All in all, a super-enjoyable rom-com, and I can't wait to see what comes next from Lisa Becker!

Ryan and Angie

I love the book, I laughed, I cried, it broke my heart then put it back together. I do believe in fate and is true that Ryan is a rarity. I am glad that he found his 'the one' with Angie, they complement each other in many ways and their chemistry is palpable. Loved the movie references and the quotes.... Love this one: "The rearview is smaller than the windshield."... My heart was breaking while following their journey to HEA, how callous some of those around them were. He had great friends though, loved his family and their closeness. His sister was a hoot. My first book from Ms. Becker and I thoroughly enjoyed. - 5 stars Ms. Mallon is one of my 'eargasm' voices and she did an excellent performance as usual giving each character their voice base on their temperament and state of mind. I love listening to her voices, male and female alike. I especially liked Ryan's and Angie's voices. - 5 stars

Fun Romance and Great Narrator!

This was my first Lisa Becker book, but it won't be my last! I loved the premise of this book and how Ryan believed in Fate and Romance. He believed that he was meant to be with the woman that he saw on the Subway and tried everything to find her. I loved his character and what kind of loving and emotional man he was. I enjoyed his and Angie's journey through the search for the Subway Girl and how they got to know each other. I found this story really fun, loving and it had me laughing out loud at times. I couldn't stop listening to the story until I finished it. The other characters were also great in the book. I am really looking forward to the next book in the series! Erin Mallon is a great narrator and has a fantastic male voice as well as her own female voice. I would definitely recommend this audiobook!
