Would you try another book written by Patricia Duncker or narrated by Maggie Mash?

I wouldn't try another book by Patricia Duncker. The story began promisingly with an intriguing opening but drifted off course into inconclusive plot lines, pseudo-religious arguments, and a completely unbelievable ending. Not one of the characters was in any way appealing or convincing.


Has The Strange Case of the Composer and his Judge put you off other books in this genre?

I'm not sure what genre this books fits into. I enjoy a good thriller with a tightly woven plot but this wasn't it. It was too badly written to have any literary merit.

What didn’t you like about Maggie Mash’s performance?

Maggie Mash did as well as she could with poor material. She has a clear, pleasant voice.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Such a waste of time and money. I would have returned it but but the 'returns period' had expired by the time I had listened to the book.
