Christ heals wounds that no one else can heal. The Holy Spirit offers to reconcile us to God and to each other. We don’t think much about sin until the Spirit catches us red-handed. But He is not a policeman; He is the Friend of the guilty. He convicts in order to liberate. See what happens when a person comes afresh to Him.
From the book: "I took the Bible and began to read, with tears coming down. I had hardly finished two verses when the Lord of the New Testament came into the cell. What I never expected happened. Jesus entered into this miserable heart of mine, and it was too good for me to believe it. Jesus kept saying, ‘I love you,’ and I kept shaking my head and saying, ‘You cannot love me; I hate myself.’ And He said, ‘I love you; I died for you.’ ‘But I want to die.’ ‘You need not die, because I died for you.’"
