Summary

Life on Frogmorton Farm is never peaceful for long . . .

Discover book two in the magical Frogmorton Farm series from Jodi Taylor, author of the internationally bestselling Chronicles of St Mary's.

Life is good at Frogmorton Farm. Yes, Jenny and Russell are still broke. Yes, the roof still leaks. And yes, the Checklands are about to become the long-suffering owners of a battalion of trouble-seeking Patagonian Attack Chickens. But life is still quite wonderful for someone who used to be called the Nothing Girl.

Jenny Checkland knows better than to count her chickens, though, even the Patagonian ones. Particularly because an all-too-familiar face from the past seems to be popping up wherever she goes. She would swear it was her sinister cousin Christopher, last seen being enthusiastically hurled out of the back door by her wayward husband.

But he couldn't possibly be stupid enough to come back and try again . . . could he?"

From beginning to end, a brilliant audio book.

Good people, bad peoples, warmth, villainy, love, laughter and tears (happy ones!). Once again Jodi Taylor has produced an amazing story that I found hard not listen to constantly. The narration was the icing on the cake. I absolutely loved it. Will there be an “Everything Girl”? I hope so.

Wonderful sequel

Wonderful sequel to the first book, intriguing, very funny, a little sad in places and so vivid. Typically Jodi Taylor. Beautifully read.

Disappointing

What disappointed you about The Something Girl?

Just repetition from the first book! Hardly any story line. Usually love Jodi Taylor!

What could Jodi Taylor have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Written a more complete story! Made book 1 longer incorporating the small amount of story from book 2.

What three words best describe Lucy Price-Lewis’s performance?

Clear, rehearsed, emphatic

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Something Girl?

All repetition and explanation from book1

Any additional comments?

Very disappointed!

Patogonian attack chickens!!

Another emotional rollercoaster. Laugh out loud, hold my breath and shed tears of sorrow. Not a book to read in public!!
Perfectly read.
Love every minute.

Fantastic!

A very believable insight into the mind of Jennie. Warm and sensitive with some memorable comedy moments.

Wonderful

Such a lovely story, a perfect sequel to the Nothing Girl. It made me laugh out loud and cry buckets. One of those rare books that makes you feel like you've lost a friend when it ends. I guess I'll just have to listen to both books again.

Sadly disappointing

Loved The Nothing Girl, The Little Donkey and have really enjoyed the Chronicles of St Mary's by Jodie but this book, The Something Girl was sadly very disappointing. It felt so predictable and in many parts It seemed the story line dragged on and on. It could and maybe should have just been another short story.

Some tense parts, well written. Another lovely story and well narrated.
Just a bit short!

The Something Girl

Why end a story with such sadness. The three book are lovely yet the ending is heart breaking!
