An alarm sounds in the middle of the night for a burglary in progress at a winter-closed campsite in Bredäng, outside Stockholm.

The police spot a light in one of the farthest caravans and when the officers open the door they are greeted by a horrific sight. Floors, walls and furniture are completely covered in blood. A man has been killed with an axe and brutally dismembered.

On the floor lies a young man sleeping with a severed arm as a pillow. He is arrested and taken to Kronoberg prison, identified as seventeen-year-old Hugo Sand, the son of a famous writer.

Hugo suffers from a rare sleepwalking condition that is activated by nightmares. He is either the perpetrator or a witness, but claims to remember nothing from the night.

Detective Joona Linna contacts his old friend Erik Maria Bark to use hypnosis to try to find out what happened inside the caravan. So begins the sleepless hunt for a serial killer who is only just getting started . . .

Whilst Saul Reichlin’s voice is sorely missed (as one of my favourite readers) Peter Noble deputised well. Another fine Joona Lina story.

Joona Lina and Sleepwalker.

Very enjoyable listen, good twists and turns and kept me guessing to the very end. The new narrator is also very good. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a whodunnit thriller.

Twisted

As always Lars Keplar delivered another amazing novel.. this time I listened to it and it made it even better. Looking forward to the next Joona Lima instalment.

excellent story line and narrated brilliantly

The narrator was great, so good. Have listened to so many translations from Swedish when the narrator has ruined the story for me because not able to pronounce names and places. Not this guy, superb!!

Kepler on form. Brilliant

I’ve read all the previous books but all the sex in this book was so boring and out of context if I wanted to read a sexual novel then I wouldn’t be reading crime I think the authors are having a wee mid life crisis lol and more Saga would have been better too

Disappointed
