The Sunday Times bestseller, from the author of The Binding

'Utterly original… ensnared me from the very first page' EMILIA HART

'Storytelling at its most immersive' ERIN KELLY

The whole world disappears when you enter THE SILENCE FACTORY

In the Factory, the looms clatter all day. Cobwebs found in ancient Mediterranean glades are spun into a precious fabric that silences the world.

But what happens to those who fall under its spell?

And who is harnessing its power?

After all, a world of silence can bring peace, but it can also conceal the deeds of the wicked…

The Silence Factory is an enthralling story about complicity, desire and corruption – a novel to lose yourself in.

'I loved Bridget Collins' last two novels so much I was almost nervous to read this one in case it didn't live up to my feverish expectations. Bridget Collins’ work can be challenging but this took the biscuit, so dragged out and yet another book I’ve attempted recently that seems to be going nowhere such that in the end I don’t care and give up.

Slower than slow

The concept was amazing and so imaginative, as you would expect with a Bridget collins novel. I’m not gifted with the vocabulary to describe how listening to her books makes me feel, but I’m so grateful I was introduced.
The narration was fabulous and made it come alive, I was totally absorbed from start to finish.

Magically imaginative, typical Bridget Collins

I loved the binding and this book is very nearly as fabulous (nothing against this book, just spiders are of less interest to me than books). The concept of silencing spider silk is beguiling. The twists are a little obvious but the writing so good it doesn’t spoil the read

Superb + quite spellbinding

I think this had a lot of unexplored potential and I was a little disappointed overall. It took me several attempts to get into the story and I restarted it many times.
Overall, there were some interesting ideas but I didn’t enjoy it as much as The Binding which is absolutely incredible.
The narration was a bit odd in places with a few mispronounced words. Not a favourite but I like the author so would choose another book by her.

Interesting but
