Fantastic continuation of the Kings of Guardian series - Kris Michaels is an absolutely brilliant storyteller and I have read and reread the entire series. It would be difficult to understand the character dynamics if you don’t read the whole series. However, I have purchased the ebook for part 2 as I struggled with the narration. The narrator was too softly spoken with little umph (for want of a better word). The main players, both men and women, are strong powerful characters and this didn’t come over in the narration. Shame really.

Highly recommend this series. Can’t wait for future instalments, whatever direction they take.

Delayed buying this two part story till the second part was released as I knew waiting would be awful!! Listened to the story during the day because at night I was staying up and actively listening till the early hours! Great story. Well worth the wait. 5 stars.
