Good bits of history

I really enjoyed listening about different events in the history. Most of them I wouldn't choose myself but that's why it was so good. I hope the second series will come out soon.

Someone reads out a pop history magazine - this is not an audiobook

The narrators are good, the material is interesting but there is no “story” here, just a collection of facts - simplifies for a general audience.

It seems to me that someone is just reading out a BBC History magazine, one that has lots of insets and sidebars that pose simple questions and then answers them.

I found this an irritating listen, but might have been a good magazine for me to read as an eight or ten year old.

My advice? Don’t waste your time. I didn’t listen to all of them, only to three or four until I’d confirmed the poor format.
