Summary

Triggered by the disappearance of a brilliant young professor, this mystery takes the Hardy Boys first to Kenworthy College, where they find a puzzling message on an examination paper. But then their pal Chet Morton and buddy Biff Hooper turn up a clue that sends the young detectives in another direction, to the Honeycomb Caves.

After many dangerous encounters, Frank and Joe discover a powerful searchlight on one of the craggy caverns along the seacoast. In the white glare of the searchlight, the startling secret of the cave is dramatically revealed.

Critic reviews

"Filled with action and plot twists, the mystery is ably read by Bill Irwin. His delivery is soft, but he has enough variety to keep the listener's interest. The sound effects and music are also appropriate for the production." ( AudioFile)

Wonderful!

The most difficult and most challenging, of all mysteries. But with a little bit of cake, adventure and some lemonade; the Hardy Boys solved this mystery. Wonderful!

Great book to listen to!

it stayed true to the other Hardy Boys books stories. if you listen to books past 10 book 10 then you are going to find a significant change in the story and setting of The Hardy Boys Adventures I personally do not care for them, but everyone has their own opinion. I do like the production of the book with sound effects and voices, overall it was very nice.

My 8 year old son LOVES this book

My son is a big fan of the Hardy Boys series; he loves all these books and listens to them over and over. Great action and mysteries. He listens to every audiobook of the Hardy Boys he can get his hands on. An oldie but goodie, they still very much appeal to young readers.
