A good read!

I enjoyed this book - although it was a bit far-fetched at times! Nonetheless, I kept going so it can't have been too bad!

A sort of feel good book

I say this because it is and it isn’t. You sort of know what’s going to happen, but you don’t if that makes sense.

I enjoyed this book even though parts of it made me really annoyed with certain people. And I sort of knew how it would end but there was a twist or two, which I always like.

Brilliant Read

Any additional comments?

A good story with excellent narration.
Some suspense thrillers introduce a lot of unnecessary characters whose purpose is purely to divert the readers attention/suspicion. They add nothing to the story and can be irritating. The Secret Mother doesn’t do this.
I fully empathised with Tessa and couldn’t wait to have her plight resolved.

I absolutely loved it. the story was fantastic. I could hardly wait to listen between chores. in fact I skipped some so I could curl up and listen again. and the narrator was amazing. I'm going to look for another book by these 2 brilliant women right now. Thank You!! Susan Straathof

This author is amazing! Both of her books took hold of me right from the start. I highly recommend this book. I don't want to give anything away but I can guarantee that you won't be disappointed. 10+ stars 😀😀😀😀

Held my interest

This was one of the author’s better books - but not by much. There were certain events that were not very plausible. However, if the book was longer with more detail, character development, and backstory, it would’ve been significantly more believable. I maintained interest throughout, even though I predicted the outcome.

Will grip you from the very beginning! Excellent story line! A must Listen

Not many books grip me from the very beginning. This one had an excellent story line with a great narrator! And the end will blow you away! Great book! Totally recommend it!

Quite Good

I passed over this one often but finally the good reviews convinced me to try it - glad I did. Altho not terribly original, it was still a good story. The narration was great once I got used to the accent.

umm...

I am a fan of Shalini and I found this a little diffrent from Shalini Bolands other thrillers. When I saw this novel I immediately grabbed for it. I have listened and enjoyed the narration. I had a problem with the storyline it was good however it wasnt her best work.
It felt a tad bit forced. I'll look forward to a much better thriller next time I'm sure of it.

Mystery Loves Do Not Like Loose Ends

This story had potential BUT there were parts of the plot that were never addressed. I found this to be quite lazy and amateur style writing.

Also the main plot was WAY too easy to figure out. So overall, this book wasn’t much of a mystery and the main character was pretty clueless. I figured things out way earlier than the actual main character did and that is why I’m giving this one a low score.

Very enjoyable

This story was hard to put down until finishing it. A good story with drama, mystery, tension, some predictability near the end but very well put together. Well performed.

Gripping!

This is my favorite Shalini book so far, although I have only read three. I judge a book by how fast it grips me (it better be fast) and this lived up to its good reviews.

I hate when I read a review with unintentional spoilers, so this is all I will write!
