Lady Sophy is older but no smarter..

I did not enjoy this story at all, and the main reason is Sophy, she is 28 now, worldly and well traveled, lady companion to a French noble lady Honorine but despite of that Sophy is timid, socially awkward badly dressed and can’t hold a conversation without muttering and stuttering. She has no personality and often thinks of herself as “idiot” and “imbecile”, terms that describe her perfectly for most of the story.
The only likeable female here is eccentric Honorine, but it’s not enough to redeem the whole story. Did not finish....

Best book in the series

This was my favorite book in the series. I loved the ending although it made me cry. I feel as though finishing this series I will be missing part of my family.

Truly amazing story

Although I'm not a big fan of the narrator, this story was positively wonderful. Everything you're looking for in a romantic tale. Wonderful passion, enduring love, obstacles, relationship tension, intrigue, danger, and even quite a bit of humor. This is the second time I've listen to the story. I'd forgotten how wonderful it was.
